For Refreshment Only Sunday (FROS) says HELLO, GEORGE EADS!
Mar 21st 2010
Karen HawkinsGoddess Eye Candy & Karen Hawkins
So there I was, trapped at my parents’ (don’t ask), with no way to leave (PLEASE don’t ask) and all there was to watch was yet another version of CSI (ARGH!).
Don’t get me wrong, I love CSI (except the Miami one — that one leaves me cold), but I can only handle one hour at a time. My dad likes to go on CSI marathons and he’d been on this particular marathon for oh, three hours already.
I was about to die.
But then it happened . . . as I watched, restless and ready to bolt for the door, HE walked on screen. And by he, I mean:

Or, better yet:

Made me forget I was yearning to leave. Forget I was jonesing for another show. Made me forget everything.
Is this normal, I wondered. Am I overreacting? Or do ALL women lose their memory when unexpectedly faced with such a sexy, hot, incredibly healthy looking man?
Hey . . . maybe you guys can help me answer that question. Let’s do a little experiment and see how today’s FROS affects YOUR memory:
Start saying your ABCs backwards and then scroll through the following. Note where you lose track.
1.

2.

3.

4.

How many of you made it to #4 without losing your place? I didn’t make it past #2.
Needless to say, that night I watched the next two hours of CSI without complaint and even made Hot Cop sit and watch the final episode with me after he’d arrived to pick me up.
However our little experiment turns out, it’s lovely to share my FROS adventures with all of you. Happy FROS, my dears! I hope your week is FROS-Wonderful!

I think I got to W before I gave up, Picture #1. I had no idea he was so HOT. My dad likes this show too, I guess I’ll have to check it out.

I didn’t get very far either. I never knew he was so built until I saw him w/o a shirt in a magazine. He can come frisk me anytime. Thanks Karen.
My mom loves the CSI shows too. Will watch them back to back on USA or whatever channel its on.

And to think most people are watching the show for the tech stuff. What are they thinking? He definitely makes the show more enjoyable.

I adored George Eads on the CSI show. And he is a fellow Texan! I seem to remember he was born in Ft Worth which is my mother’s hometown.
I agree on the Miami version. That’s when I first noticed how the shows use color as background. Las Vegas looks clean & clear. NYC looks gritty and darker. Miami uses all the Caribbean colors. The latter being OK if they didn’t go overboard with them. It really distracts from the show, IMNSHO. Therefore, I don’t watch CSI Miami.
I got to Z. Hey, it’s too darned early!

George has long been a personal favorite on the TV darkside. Glad you came over, sit down, have some cookies.

Karen, is there an alphabet? I was too busy drooling to even begin to think about reciting it backwards. Heck I can’t even do it backwards easily to begin with. But thank you for the eye candy!

Ahhhhh. . . . . The FROS today just makes me happy. Years ago, one of my friends had a photo of George in a tux (I think she had cut it out of a magazine) on her fridge. Whenever I’d go over to her place I’d ask her why she had a photo of MY guy up on her fridge. I actually enjoy CSI, but I could watch him on the screen with the sound off. And preferably with his shirt off, too!!
Thanks, Karen!!

I love the original CSI, though it’s been awhile since I watched it. Also loved Grissom on the show.
The 3rd picture is the one that caught my attention. What a sexy smile. Yep, I wouldn’t mind being, um, restrained by him LOL.

One of the main reasons I adore the show – he’s my fave. Luv Nick. I consider the most memorable episode for him to be Gumdrops. (It is actually the only episode I truly remember.)
But I do love all 3 series.
BTW – currently reading The Truth about Lord Stoneville – LOVE It – looking forward to everyone’s stories!

Z, that’s it. Just z – not even a whole z. Good Lord that man is proof there IS a God and he does GREAT work.
The only CSI I like is the original and GE is one of the main reasons! I have the first six seasons on DVD and I NEVER buy television series on DVD unless they are British and historical.
I have to agree that Gum Drops is one of his best episodes ever as is that great season finale before it – Grave Danger where he is kidnapped and buried alive.
Thanks, Karen !! Looking at these pictures I would DEFINITELY like to MESS WITH TEXAS !!!

Count me in with the ‘Z’ ladies. Never made it past there. Sir Eads has always been one of my favorites, and I do watch all three shows., even the marathons. He is sooo YUMMY!

What alphabet?

I must admit, I cheated. I didn’t even try to remember what the very last letter was because my screen showed these yummy pics and I have no willpower so I couldn’t stop myself. I’m sorry, Karen.

What was that you said, somthing about an alphabet… I couldn’t because I could not get my breath to even think.. My one shinning light on Thursday nights… Talk about RIPPED abs..
Tina on 21 Mar 2010 at 11:20 am #
I never learned the alphabet backwards. I’m not even sure I can spell the word correctly.
I think I have only seen a few eps of CSI season 7 and none of the newer seasons. Once William (Grissom) left, there was no point. I also think I heard that Warrick was killed off, another bummer.
Now you have me wishing for a CSI marathon. I’ll start tonight after I get home from work. Let me see – 6 seasons x 22 (or so) episodes x approximately 43 minutes each = 5,676 minutes of watching George and the gang.

I have loved George forever! He’s the main draw for me when it comes to CSI (the other versions are dreadful imo). And I don’t know about anyone else, but the cover of Shiloh Walker’s Broken has a cover model that looks exactly like my sweetie. Take a look and lmk what you all think.
I love George because he looks like a cowboy, has a slight Texan accent, and he seems so down-to-earth and normal. I always stop and watch the CSI marathon when it’s on. I especially love the George-centric episode Grave Danger that had lots of him and he did amazing in it.

wuh… sorry, I forgot what you asked when I saw the pics…

Lol! Glad I’m not the only one who failed the Memory/Sexy Man test.
I’ve been out today and have been trying to post via my smartphone, but apparently it’s not really all that smart of I’m not (no comments from the Peanut Gallery on that, please!), so I had to wait until I came home.
But I’m SO GLAD you guys like him! He really is SUCH a sexy guy … and he looks nice, too. Mmmmmm! Hellllloooo FROS!

Jody, excellent eye! There is a similarity!
Thank you Karen for your unselfish attitude towards your fellow goddesses. There are no limits to what you will do for us, your altruism knows no bounds; your courage in the face of weekly peril (going through ALL those potential FROS could cause eyestrain); you just amaze me! Thank you!!

well…didn’t even make it to Z…I was busy thinking about where to start the alphabet backwards and spotted the first pic!!! He’s always been a no argument reason to watch the show but I must admit to not having viewed it in the last yr or so…only liked the original CSI..all the others seem like piss takes to be honest as no one plays the lead part like Grissom. You can always be relied upon to supply good FROS…keep up the great work!!
