Beloved goddess SuzyQ sent us a lovely present this week – a FROS candidate who will rock your socks.

Goddesses, allow me to introduce Andy Whitfield, who was born in Wales, but then became a successful actor in Australia. He is now gracing screens everywhere as SPARTACUS!

Goddess SuzyQ, being of generous spirit, shared some of her favorite pictures, which I augmented with a few extras I found.

    OMG!! Kirk Douglas in his prime as Spartacus couldn’t hold a candle to this hottie. Love those Welsh. They really turn out the goods. As witness Richard Burton at this age.

    Andy has killer eyes. Whooee! I can see him as a future James Bond.

    Girls, I vote we put our ancient Roman money together and buy this gladiator for our own personal use !!! Working out the schedule with all of us might be difficult, but it would be WORTH IT!!

    Oh and those fabulous Welsh blue eyes? My brothers both have them, darn them! I got the Creek gray eyes. They got those eyes from my Dad – three quarters Welsh and one quarter English. Any wonder my Mom married him after a week’s acquaintance and only one date?

    Sabrina, don’t be ugly. (teehee!) Ok, it was a GREAT game and that Brees QB of yours plays incredibly well. And he’s SO YOUNG, too. I loved the game, was sorry Manning couldn’t pull it off, but his receivers weren’t there for him like the Saints’ receivers were there for Brees. Just a great, great game.

    And Emily – Hi, there! And I need to find a way to see Spartacus, too. I don’t have STARZ network, but I am going to call my cable company and ask WHY NOT?

    You are right it is hot in here. But that is the way the men of T.V. amd movies are supose to effect us. They are supose to be what dreams are made of. They are every womans fantasy without any of the trouble. It tends to spice up our life when we need it. These men give us an escape for a brief moment so we can the one thing we have always wanted to be special. thamks

    I am hooked on the new Spartacus series. Saw it advertised on fancast and the after seeing that Andy Whitfield was playing the main character, well, nuff said! He drew me right in and I don’t miss the show. Yes, I agree he is the COMPLETE package. Nice washboard stomach, masculine face, intriguing accent..l could just go on and on! Ditto on the Yummy Yummy!

    I love FROS! It’s a lot of research for me, of course. Research, research, research. It could cause eye strain, too, because I CAREFULLY examine EVERY INCH of each photo to make sure they’re true For Refrehment Only Sunday quality.

    But it’s worth it. I simply couldn’t go without my weekly dose of FROS to start my week off with a nice little push!

    For those of you ladies who are planning to watch Spartacus…as a forewarning…very graphic, both in the sexual nature and the violence. I was surprised, but got hooked because of Spartacus’ character, he’s very committed to his wife (which I found endearing), the plot has a lot to do with his connection with her. However, I’m not going to spoil it for anyone by giving the details….you’ll all have to watch to find out. Many hard body men in this series. Heart palpatations….but I’m really only interested in Andy!

    I’m thinking I have to get all the cable premium channels. Starz, HBO, and Showtime all have really great shows on that have “mucho” eye candy. HBO has “True Blood”, Showtime has “The Tudors”, and Starz has, of course, “Spartacus”.

    True Blood has: Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and for a time, but he was killed off “Eggs” Benedict Talley (Mehcad Brooks)

    The Tudors has: Duke of Suffolk Charles Brandon (Henry Cavill)….He is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite, “King Henry VIII” Henry Tudor (Jonathan Rhys Myers)…Cute in his own certain way, and Sir Francis Bryan (Alan Van Sprang)…Handsome in rugged sort of way.

    Spartacus…must I say anything more!

    It’s like I have to get a fix of these guys all the time. When they go on hiatus and I have to wait for the next season, it kills me. Ha Ha.
