‘Tis the day before Christmas and all through the house …

People were snickering, even the mouse!
I don’t know about you guys, but while I love Christmas, it can be stressful. There’s the decorating and the buying and the cleaning and the guesting and the gifting and the– well, it just doesn’t stop and, while I love it all, it can wear a girl out.
So, today I thought I’d give you the best stress reliever blog of all — a couple of chuckles and grins. NOTHING helps the day/evening/holiday turn out just right more than some good laughs.
So, here goes . . .

and ….

and one of my favorites, though it’s a bit earthy:

Last, but not least:

Hugs, m’dears! And if the grouchies start to sneak into your house, don’t let them ruin your holiday! Relax, grin when you can, and savor every moment!

Ka-Hawk, you always crack me up, be it with your books or with you hilarious posts! Great!
In Germany, Christmas is celebrated today (I was a bit surprised when I first read “The Day Before Christmas” because here, that was yesterday), so I wish to all of you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful time!

muwhahahahahaha! love them!
My sister has laid down the law for this holiday: No hissy fits allowed.
See, her daughter Amy and I bit it at practically the same moment last Christmas Day. After our meal, she got grumpy at her boyfriend- completely justified in my book. He started poking at her bum and told her it was getting big earlier in the day. If I wasn’t so tired myself, I would have told him off for her.
I went home shortly after they did needing to get away from the chaos to a quiet house.
my guess is that the normally even keeled sister of mine will have the blow up this year.

Charles Chaplin said: “One day without to laugh it’s a lost day”, so I wish you a lot of truth laughs of happiness….

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a safe and fun day! I hope Santa is good to all the Goddess.

Karen H – -you always make me grin! Thank you! My personal fave is the poison/antidote one, LOL.
Sitting here in the quiet before anyone else wakes, and contemplating my many blessings. Merry Christmas! May your day be merry and bright and may all your holiday wishes come true.

Thanks for the laughs, K-Ha. Right now I’m wrapping a few more presents waiting for the plow to arrive. We have 5 lovely white Christmassy inches last night. And I still need to get to the grocery store. May just four-wheel it through and call it a day.

I’m starting off the Christmas Eve spirit with a viewing of the Vicar of Dibley wedding episode. Sabrina, hope you have BBC America if you haven’t seen it. What a sweet way to start a day of travel a/k/a Survivor: Airport
Merry Christmas everyone! Love those very funny cards especially the last.

Merry Christmas Goddesses !!!
Pray for me as I will be working at Wal-Mart from 10 AM until 7 PM today before I drive the 80 miles to my Mom’s !!
Yesterday was insane and today will probably be worse. A co-worker and I paused yesterday, looked around and said “It’s official. We MUST be on the naughty list!”

I love the last one! DD’s and I opened a bottle of white last night while we were making Christmas cookies. Singing, dancing, laughing and those are some crooked Christmas cookies, let me tell you! More from the laughing than any alcohol induced haze. We did have a lot of fun.
Louisa, I was at Walmart yesterday picking up the last of the food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. There were a lot of people there and I was chatting with the registrar who was this really sweet, short, smiling , 70-ish, darling of a lady. She looked a little weary, but that smile was so endearing. She also works today, 11am-7pm. Hang in there.
Merry Christmas, my Mt. Oly friends!

I laughed at those cartoons and shared them around the office. We get off at noon today, and then I have a little shopping left to do, LOTS of presents left to wrap, stuffing to make for the turkey tomorrow, and then a nap to take in prep for choir and Midnight Mass tonight. I need to clone myself so I can get everything done!!!

Fresh, when my sister wears her reverand collar, she looks EXACTLY like the Vicar of Dibley. kind of acts like her too, only with a Canadian accent

Merry Merry Christmas, Ladies! Thank you for another year of laughs, tears and friendship.

Thanks for the laughs Karen. I worked my last shift at Hickory Farms last night. It was pretty busy. I love the people watching at the mall.
Going to run a quick errand later and go see my dad for dinner. And then that is it for me.
Thanks to all for another great year.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks for the giggle, Karen. I love the poison one and the wine one.
And thanks to all of the goddesses and wanna-be goddesses who gather here on Mt. Olympus. What a wonderful present you all give me each and every day. Even, maybe especially, on those days when I have no input to put in. (BG) I love the wit, humor, and decency I find here.
Have a great day tomorrow. As we all know, calories don’t count on holidays. Especially Christmas Day. My thinking is that calories on into the minus zero state for 24 hours. So, eat drink and make merry, my beautiful ones.

Karen, I love them all especially the last one.
Merry Christmas to all the Goddesses around the world. Lots of blessings, presents and fun moments with friends and family. Happy Holidays everyone. Now, I’m off to cooking and baking.

Karen, I love the cards. I am gathering my cheer to see me through two days of cooking, and a few last minute things I have to do. But all is well, and what isn’t done won’t be missed, is what I say. I am looking forward to the time with my family.
Happy Holidays to everone!

Very funny. I love the milk one. Sounds like something my youngest son would have thought up.
Off the to grocery store for the last-minute ingredients for dinner. Then home to make soup and bake cookies.
Have a great Christmas, everyone.

Merry Christmas to all of you, too! I hope you all have lot of grins this Christmas and that things will go well, but if they don’t, I know you guys will laugh and shrug and realize that sometimes the best memories are of our imperfect moments.

I’ve been wondering why my nephew keeps trying to get me to try his ’special’ lemonade. *g*
Happy holidays, goddesses!!

Thanks for the laughs, Karen! My husband’s favorite christmas card of all time involves Bob Marley’s ghost smoking pot. I’ll have to dig it up, so I can post it next year! It’s very funny.
Hope y’all have a great Christmas! Be safe, be happy, and be a goddess!

It’s snowing in Dallas on Christmas Eve!! Who would’ve thought it? It was 74 degrees here yesterday.
Some kids’ wish MUST have come true for this to happen – a 40 degree temperature drop in less than 24 hours.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. I’m *finally* finished shopping – Mr. G added a few more stops on my “to do” list today.
My parents come over late after the kids are in bed. We exchange gifts & share a bottle of wine.
Tomorrow, we’ll go over to their house for a late lunch/early dinner. I’m the designated “vegetable” girl. Trying a new Italian squash recipe from Eric Ripert’s (French chef on PBS & Top Chef) website – wish me luck.
Bought Mr. G a t-shirt w/a picture of Santa and the words “Where my Ho’s at?” on it. I know, it’s slightly vulgar, but made me laugh out loud. Anyone else going UGG boot crazy this year?? I swear, I’m telling Mr. G to buy stock before their next quarterly sales report comes out.
This is the 1st year that ALL the girls are “in the know” re: Santa – Mr. G broke it to DD #3 last month over brownie-bottom ice cream sundaes. I’m wondering if the “spirit” will be the same…
Love to you all!

Merry Christmas to all from our to yours.
We just had some friends come in for snacks and gift exchanges, it was very nice. The boys parents came, separately, to see the guys. They enjoyed it and so we are glad they came.
Tomorrow is just for us and maybe the boys mom and another couple we spend holidays with. Very low key and then Sunday we will go to Portland to see my son and his family and go to the Zoo for the Zoolights exhibit.

Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy New Year!
