I still believe in Santa. Like you, Suzie, I think he's a spirit that makes us all a bit more generous. I absolutely love this season and every year, I'm a wee bit sad when it's over.

Happy holidays, goddesses!

I love all these stories. There is so a Santa Claus -- he just happens to be all of us, and all the good-hearted deeds we do all through the year and especially around Christmas time. Happy holidays, everyone!

The youngest child in our family is 14, but we ALL believe in Santa Claus! He comes to my Mom's house every year and fills ALL of our stockings (including those of Mom's dogs and Mom's granddogs and grandcats!) All of us get some gifts from Santa and some gifts from Mom or Nana.

Santa comes around my Mom's neighborhood on Christmas Eve on top of a firetruck with a police escort, always about sunset. The neighborhood kids come out, some in their pjs to wave at Santa. My Mom's grandchildren still always show up for this event. My almost 19 year old nephew intends to be there tomorrow night with his 16 year old sister and his 14 year old cousin.

My favorite Santa photo is of my deaf Great Dane, Glory, and Santa when he visited to humane shelter to pose for photos with people's pets. She LOVED Santa Claus. Her tail wagged the whole time. He was a great Santa with a real beard and white hair and definitely a twinkle in his eye and an affinity for animals. I have a photo of her giving him a kiss and the best photo, one they still use in ads years later is of him cradling her head in his hands and touching his nose to hers. Great photo and great memory.

That's funny Paula - great minds and all that. :)

I have very little hope that my 9 year old can keep anything to himself. If he finds out he will blurt it out at once. Two years ago he asked me why Santa's presents had the same wrapping paper as the one at home. Sigh!!

Since I'm the oldest of three girls, I always played it safe and said I believed until my youngest sister finally gave it up. I figured if Santa was coming to see her, then I wasn't going to argue. *g*

Hey Colinfirthfan I have 2 boys aged 61/2 and 9 and I've told my boys the exact same thing. if you don't believe in Santa then he won't come visiting!! My 6 year old has a friend who has gone to lapland so he definitely still believes. I'm not sure whether the 9 year old does or not. I hope he still does he hasn't said anything yet.

A very Happy Christmas to all the Goddesses and prosperous New Year.

Kim here's hoping you have a fabulously Happy Birthday tomorrow.

What a beautiful story Suzanne! Thank you so much for sharing it. Yes, my four-year-old believes and his older siblings help strengthen his belief! Of course I believe, and have on occasion kissed the real Santa Claus.

Last night while in bed, my husband was trying something quite naughty. I told him he should stop or Santa wouldn't bring him anything. He told me it would be worth it! Not sure if he believes in Santa or his own secret magic.

I have a 9 1/2 and 6 yr old who both believe! Well, the 9 yr old is suspicious but I told him if you don't believe Santa isn't coming. :)

All the kids are home for Christmas! Ours are 23, 20 and 15. I always tell them it is OK to believe because there really was a St. Nick and our traditions follow right along with him. It is magical and a magical time of year. We open gifts on Christmas Eve night. Christmas morning we have some family gifts to open, like board games. Over the years it's been a variety of things like a ping pong table, or Play Station. Santa's gifts always came on Christmas morning when the kids were little.
