The Freebie
Sep 16th 2009
LoriHandelandGoddess Grins & Lori Handeland
About a month ago Rachel mentioned “the Freebie.” I’d heard of this concept before (agreeing with your significant other that you have a freebie–one person on earth whom you could sleep with if you had the chance and it would be okay) but I’d never really thought about it much.
IV and I don’t have a freebie. First of all, I’d have to kill him if he slept with someone else. Don’t care who it is. Just sayin’. And I don’t think he’d be all that wild about the idea for me either. All that Italian/Viking blood dontcha know.
But it’s still an interesting topic to explore with the gals. I had a heck of a time deciding on mine.
Robert Pattinson? Too young. I’d prefer Edward Cullen–he’s old enough.
Unfortunately he isn’t real.

Brad Pitt is pretty but he just annoys me lately.
Antonio Banderas–also pretty, but every once in a while he takes such an ugly photo he freaks me out.
Tom Cruise-too weird
Tom Hanks-too nice
Christian Bale-too intense
Brett Favre-too midlife crises
Dennis Leary-too snarky
I’m really hard to please.
If I HAD to pick, I guess I’d go with Edward. His not being real gets me out of the whole issue.
(Because any of these guys would actually sleep with ME if they had the chance. Ha!!)
Tell us, don’t be shy, who’s your freebie and why?
I’ll pick one poster at random to win an ARC of Apocalypse Happens.

Johnnie Depp would work for me!
Judy F on 16 Sep 2009 at 3:56 am #
My top pick would be Hugh Jackman but since several here have dibs on him.
my 2nd choice would be Mark Harmon.
Both are good looking but seem to be nice guys too.
KarenC on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:10 am #
Hm.
Sam from TrueBlood maybe? I like my men scruffy and that boy is wicked hot. LOL
RKCharron on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:27 am #
Hi

Thanks for the fun post.
My “freebie” would be … Felicia Day
(she’s smart, uber-talented, and gorgeous)
All the best,
@RKCharron
xoxo

I have the feeling Hugh’s going to be a busy guy today. I’ll take him next, Judy.
Lisa H on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:00 am #
Oooo, for me it’s a tie, Johnny Depp and Rob Pattinson! I too am in love with Edward Cullen!
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:15 am #
Johnny and Hugh and Rob seem to be leading the pack.
Sam on True blood is adorable. I’m also liking Eric since he got his hair cut. Never been a fan of Bill. He’s too stiff.
B on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:17 am #
I’m too young for that (not for sleeping with someone, but for being attached for life), but I love the concept. I mean, what id David Boreanaz (or Nathan Fillion as of recently) wants me AFTER I meet my husband. I mean… it’s not like they’d know me before. And, it’s NOT like I could ever pass that up!!
Freedom Writer on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:28 am #
Adrian Paul would be my choice of a freebie. DH would give me Colin Firth as a freebie too as long as I brought him home to meet DH first. He’s a big Colin Firth fan, and I am a willing to make that sacrifice for DH.
Kelly Ann on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:43 am #
I really don’t have a freebie. Every time I choose someone there is something wrong with him – ha-ha, not only in the fantasy world but in reality as well!!! I guess I could choose Orlando Bloom, I do think he is very sexy! Please, no one disillusion me today about Orlando! LOL!
Kathy on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:51 am #
Gerard Butler baby!
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:54 am #
More great choices. Can’t argue with a one of them.
Emmanuelle on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:59 am #
I’m like you Lori, I can’t imagine it with a real person, movie star or otherwise. With a novel character though… different matter altogether.
lol
It took me about 1 nanosecond to decide on Kevin Tucker (SEP This heart of Mne). I guess he’s the love of my “fiction” life
Terri on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:11 am #
I can’t get beyond the idea of Wesley Snipes. His body is to die for. However, he would have to agree to keep his mouth shut the entire time…
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:13 am #
Oh, Emmanuelle! You’ve hit one of my favorite characters. I love that book and that hero. When he chased the heroine and fell on his knees at the end. My heart!
Snort. Terri, I LOL at that. There are several men who would work if they kept their lips zipped. I agree. And then there are a few who could speak and I would melt. Antonio for one. Although lately whenever I hear his voice I either see Puss N Boots or that annoying bee from the commercials.
nancyg on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:19 am #
Lori –
too fun a topic! My husband and I have a “top 5″ list each…
mine would be…
Colin Firth
Clive Owen
Michael Schumacher (ex-championship Formula 1 driver)
Brendan Shanahan (hockey player for the NJ Devils)
Joshua Bell (professional concert violinist)
1st alternate – in case any of the 5 above are unable to perform their required “duties”…Gerard Butler
I don’t know Mr. G’s complete list, only that Halle Berry & Salma Hayek figure prominently.
Margaret on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:24 am #
David Boreanaz is my guy! Umm, well there is Scott Bakula. Loved him in “Quantum Leap”. Sean Connery because he’s the sexiest old guy on the planet. Have you seen his knees when he wears a kilt? Oh my! Unfortunately, he is a golf nut. Any of you who know one of those will understand.
So, I think David is my main choice.
Michelle on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:25 am #
ROARKE is the one for me!! I’ve wanted him the minute I read Naked In Death and he just keeps getting better & better! “-)
Tanya on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:50 am #
Not very original, but mine is Johnny Depp. He is so beautiful! I even thought he was sexy in Sweeny Todd!!!! That is why I was so excited to see this past Sundays FROS… Love him.
If you are reading this Johnny, my husband and I have discussed this, and you are my “one”. Feel Free to call me. haha
Claudia Dain on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:30 am #
Well, since Hugh and I are already TOGETHER (Karen!), I’d pick Nathan Fillion from Castle. He’s the right age, funny, cute, and I haven’t heard any weird/raunchy news about him. Please, Nathan, be normal!!
Theresa on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:30 am #
Mine would be Ben Afleck. I fell in love with him in Armageddon.
My husband and I do not have a “freebie” but it’s still fun to think /talk about it with the girls!
Sabrina Jeffries on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:31 am #
Hmm, the freebie. I have a suspicion that all of these guys (even the ones already mentioned) would be disappointing in reality, but assuming that they weren’t …. I’d have to go with Richard Armitage for my first choice, then Mark Harmon, then Johnny Depp, then Hugh Jackman, then Peter Wingfield, then ….
Getting kind of crowded in here.
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:38 am #
I had a thing for Sean Connery too until that whole “women need a good smack” thing. Not cool, Sean.
Methinks (excuse the term, I’m spending my time in 1592 with Will Shakespeare these days) Claudia and Ka-Ha might get in a good girl fight over Hugh soon. That could be interesting.
Shakespeare also reminded me of Affleck as Edward Alleyn. He was quite attractive.
Oh, Sabrina reminded me of Brandon in The Tudors-Henry Cavill. What a doll! Can I change my freebie?
TrishD on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:40 am #
No list here… but I’m gonna make one today!
First choice, hands down, no questions about it, no second thoughts, without a doubt… George Clooney!! And it’s been him for years.
Fictional characters, because while I read I “fall in love” with the heros and there are 3 that I just keep re-reading because I love them so much. First would be Abe Reagan… sigh. Second is Sam Donovan. Third is Webb Tallant.
Sports figure? Any member of the Red Wings… and NancyG Brendan makes my list since he was a Wing for so long.
Since I have an entire hockey team on my list, I think it’s long enough now.
JudyPatooty on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:56 am #
Ooh. That’s a tough one, Lori! I can only pick ONE? Where there is a world filled with Gerard Butler, Henry Cavill, Rufus Sewell, Nathan Fillion, Hugh Jackman, Thomas Jane, and more? ONE?
Kathy and I might have to fight over Gerard Butler. Or, I just might be magnanimous and let her have Gerry and his big muscles and gorgeous blue eyes and Scottish accent.
So, I think I’d take Rufus Sewell as my Freebie. He’s tall and just muscular enough and he has a sexy voice with a killer English accent. And he has those extraordinary greenish-hazel eyes and cheekbones to kill for. Oh, and let’s not even mention that gorgeous headful of curly dark hair. And in “real life” he apparently is smart and funny and a really nice guy as well. Sigh.
I think I’d better go take a cold shower now.
Pesky on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:09 am #
JudyPatoty: Rufus Sewell! Definitely him.
or Oded Fehr or Eddie Cahill. You don’t hear about them rushing around mucking things up.
If I was 22 it would be Ethan Peck, cuz well…that voice and he’s got sparkly eyes. But I’m not 22 so…bad Pesky! Gotta go take me some vitamins and a nap for just considering.
Pesky on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:11 am #
BTW do I need to join one of Ellen’s 24 step programs for looking at the 22 year old? Cuz if so I’m going to throw in Taylor Kitsch.
elsiehogarth on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:13 am #
My deep intense obsession: Jason Stratham
TrishD on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:14 am #
I’m feeling a bit out of touch here. I know only about half of the names on everyone’s lists. Who is Oded Fehr?? Ethan Peck?? Nathan Fillion?? Am I really that out of touch?
I googled Eddie Cahill because I thought I knew who he was and I was right… very good choice Pesky!
Karen Rose on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:21 am #
Thanks, TrishD! Fictional Abe Reagan is just a good man, the gentleness and integrity of his character based on Mr. R.
Jennifer on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:21 am #
Celebrity wise?
For me?
David Borneaz and Angelina Jolie. Those are both my picks. Preferably together.
My husband likes Anna Faris (with the red hair from My Super Ex-Girlfriend). I don’t think he’d turn down Uma Thurman, either, but he likes petite red-heads more.
(I’m a tall brunette. Go figure.)
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:22 am #
You can pick as many as you like, Judy. We’re all friends here. We don’t mind.
If you do need a 12 step program, Pesky, I’ll have to go along. Looking at 22-23 year olds is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Trish-
Oded Fehr is the guy from The Mummy–the one with the tattoos on his cheeks and the gorgeous long, black hair
Ethan Peck is in a TV show called “10 Things I Hate About You.” He’s Gregory Peck’s grandson and I hear he has “the voice,” which would do it for me.
Nathon Fillon was on Buffy and Angel–usually as a villain I think–he was also the captain in the TV show and movie Firefly and now he plays Castle on the new TV series. I love him.
Jennifer on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:25 am #
Oh, and fiction wise?
Robin from Angel Rogue by Mary Jo Putney. Just because he’s hot AND sweet.
I wouldn’t kick Anthony (from Let Sleeping Rogues Lie by Sabrina Jeffries) out of my bed. He’s got the stamina.
Ooo, ooo! Or Dane (from Surrender to a Wicked Spy by Celeste Bradley). Anthony may have the stamina, but Dane has the parts!
Jennifer on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:27 am #
Man, I keep thinking of others.
Avery Brooks as Hawk from the Spenser for Hire series. I had the HUGEST crush on him when I was a kid. I would practically drool.
Becky on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:51 am #
I can’t pick just one…..so here’s the list of men I would be happy to have as my freebie.
Hugh Jackman [assuming Claudia will let me....]
Gerard Butler
David Boreanaz
Indiana Jones [not necessarily Harrison Ford, but Indiana Jones, yes, the character]
Edward Cullen [again, yes, the character]
And that should keep me entertained for a while…..
Julia London on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:08 am #
I’d go with Ionn Gryffidd (I have no idea how to spell his Welsh name). Horatio can blow my horn any day.
Kat on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:10 am #
Wow — some great answers here. . .I’m not married yet, but if DBF would let, since I’ve already told him that he gets one and after that, if she knows, I’ll kill them both, but if not, just him. . .
I used to say Heath Ledger (RIP) or Patrick Swayze (RIP), but I guess I’ll have to show my age and go with Chris K of NSync or a fictional character — Adam Black of Karen Moning’s Immortal Higlander
He is just too cocky and yummy at the same time. . .and he’s fae, what more could you want?
Kat on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:11 am #
I think I could handle Spike from Buffy (Season 2 was best) as well.
Karen Hawkins on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:13 am #
Becky, Claudia’s not the one you have to worry about when it comes to The Hugh.
Judy F, I’m going to follow you with Hugh Jackman and, for a backup, Mark Harmon. I’m really starting to like Harmon’s grizzled look. He’s graying very nicely and that’s just sexy.
Btw, I have to say I think Brett Farve is a cutie, too, but I do wish he’d retire and stay there. All of this team hopping is making me dizzy. Btw, Lori, the pic of him holding the Bears sign is too funny! I snorted when I saw it!
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:15 am #
Indiana Jones! Good one Becky.
I was always an Angel fan, Kat, but Spike was so funny. I liked him much better when he was evil than when he became good.
I always remember when Angel was Angelus (liked him better then too) and he and Buffy were beating the crap out of each other. Spike walks by with Dru in his arms and says, “they’re gonna kill each other.” Then he shrugs and leaves.
I think I fell off the couch. Gotta love him.
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:18 am #
I know, K-Ha. The man is breaking my heart. Someone photoshopped that Bears sign, but I thought it was hysterical.
We have a real battle going on at my house. IV still loves Favre and cheers for him. So does #1 son. Me and #2 son have had enough and now refer to Favre as “he who shall not be spoken of because his midlife crisis is driving me NUTS!”
TrishD on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:23 am #
Lori – Thanks for the man lesson. I do remember the hot man with the tats from The Mummy, no clue his name was Oded Fehr. Personally, I’ve always watched The Mummy movies for John Hannah.
Karen R – You’re a lucky woman!
Janae on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:27 am #
This is a hard choice, but I think I’ll go with Viggo Mortensen.
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:30 am #
Oh boy now you’ve done it I have to get out my freebie list again.
Sean Connery – Lori he made that statement around 83, I think there should be a statute of limitations on stupid remarks. And look at how long he has had the same wife, he must be doing something right.
Nathan Fillion just because he is pretty and funny and bright.
Paul Wingfield , loved him in Highlander
Mark Harmon, NCIS baby!
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:50 am #
Lori. spike really hated being good, it wasn’t his fault you know . Government interference with that chip, the government has a lot to answer for!!
Does anyone else love the musical episode of Buffy?? My son gave me the soundtrack.
colinfirthfan on 16 Sep 2009 at 10:10 am #
Colin Firth of course. I can’t pick anyone else now, can I? Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice did it for me. *shiver* He was just soo everything…………
CrystalGB on 16 Sep 2009 at 10:21 am #
Matthew McConaughey. Love his voice and his southern charm.
dbrown3400 on 16 Sep 2009 at 10:39 am #
Tom Selleck is the guy for me. He can still fill out a tux like nobody’s business and has that scruffy look in the Jesse Stone movies. He’s about my age so would work out just fine. George Clooney would be a close second. My fictional pick would, of course, be James Malory from Gentle Rogue.
Lorena on 16 Sep 2009 at 10:44 am #
Oh, my…I finally have time to do a blog run (crazy week at work) and here we are with the celebrity thing again…okay, so just to prove I know who a few of them are–
I don’t have a DH, but if I did, he’d have to agree to anyone off this list (because, after all, they were here first….and most unlikely!):
George Clooney (I fell in love with him when I was a teenager and he played Mrs. Garrett’s nephew…how’s that for dating myself!)
Thomas Gibson (I admit it, I’m addicted to Criminal Minds)
Someone mentioned Mark Harmon…if possible, I think he is improving with age!
Colin Firth
Jim Cazaliel (Frequency, Count of Monte Cristo) USED to be way at the top of my list, but I’m weird about this one thing: if I hear something about their personal life that freaks me out, I simply don’t find them attractive. How strange is that? I mean, it’s not like Jim-bo or Mel is going to be sitting at my dinner table preaching about the virtues of the Inquisition or anything….
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 11:17 am #
Love John Hannah! He’s a riot. Like a man with a sense of humor.
I did like the musical episode of Buffy. But then I can’t recall an episode I didn’t like. Maybe the mummy one with Xander. That was goofy.
Another bunch of great examples, all. Keep it going.
Oh, Tom Selleck. Whenever he used to come on Friends and the audience would shriek, my boys would wonder why. They just don’t get it.
Tanya on 16 Sep 2009 at 11:19 am #
Ohhhhhh Brandon in The Tudors-Henry Cavill, I LOVE HIM!!!!! Yay! Ok if Johnny is unavailable he would be my pick.
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 12:05 pm #
Yesterday I came across a calculator I had for work in 1983, I know the date because I had my sons’ school pictures in it. The only reason my sons didn’t steal it from me is I put stickers of Tom Selleck on both sides and threatened them with bodily harm if they removed said stickers. I still had a spare Magnum sticker inside.
Suzanne Enoch on 16 Sep 2009 at 12:25 pm #
Do we get to ask the fella to dress up in the costume of our favorite movie?
If so,
Russell Crowe from “Master and Commander”
Nathan Fillion from “Serenity”
Brendan Fraser from “The Mummy”
and the only reason I left off Hugh and Johnny is because I don’t want to get into a fight when they choose me over everybody else. *g*
Claudia Dain on 16 Sep 2009 at 12:59 pm #
Suzanne, are you on your meds? Hugh is mine. You can have Johnny. But Hugh is mine!
Tom Selleck! How could I have forgotten! I love that man. He has it all, although his voice is a wee bit high for my liking. Yes, I am picky in my pretend picking game.
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 1:14 pm #
How about Viggo Mortensen? Now that’s a freebie if I ever saw one!!
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 1:14 pm #
Magnum Stickers, Evlqn. I bet those are worth something on ebay!
You are very considerate, Suzie. Fighting would be bad.
I never noticed that Tom had a high voice until you said that. Thanks, Claudia. My dream dies. :/
Becky on 16 Sep 2009 at 1:18 pm #
So sorry, Karen H. I should have remembered that you have THE claim on Hugh.
I’m adding Ben Barnes to the list. I just saw Easy Virtue and beyond his good looks, he can sing. Yes please.
Ronlyn on 16 Sep 2009 at 1:19 pm #
Per my DH, I’m no longer allowed a freebie. It used to be Brad Pitt…then I met him. Then a football player…and I met him too. Scott said I meet all the various “freebie” options, so I’m not allowed to pick one anymore. LOL.
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 1:26 pm #
Maybe Lori, but I’m keeping them for MEEEEEEEEEEE!
Cail on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:08 pm #
Derek Jeter. (assuming the STD rumors are false.)
But, DH doesn’t buy into the idea, so really my freebie is my very sexy DH.
Gwynlyn MacKenzie on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:11 pm #
Pierce Brosnan, hands down.
Gwynlyn MacKenzie on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:17 pm #
Fictional characters allowed, I see. Then I’d have to steal Adam Black. I’ve read that book ten times or more, and he still makes me hum.
dbrown3400 on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:23 pm #
Claudia, are you thinking early Selleck? His voice has mellowed with age. Check him out on Vegas or the Jesse Stone movies.
Annie on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:34 pm #
I agree with you, Evign. Viggo.
Mario Lemieux would also rate up there as a excellent freebie.
Judy F on 16 Sep 2009 at 2:46 pm #
I forgot George Clooney and he is a local man. Jeesh. His dad isn’t bad looking either. George has aged well.
colinfirthfan on 16 Sep 2009 at 3:00 pm #
For fictional characters my #1 would be Legolas (Orlando Bloom) followed by Aragorn (Viggo). I only liked the scruffy Aragorn though not the kingly one.
But I still like Legolas the BEST of all!!!
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 3:07 pm #
I have to say orlando looked quite nice as a–what was he? An elf?
I like Viggo as an actor, but much prefer him shaved and short hair to the greasy, scruffy look.
colinfirthfan on 16 Sep 2009 at 3:22 pm #
Yes, he was an elf. He was soo delicious as Legolas.
Lori, I didn’t notice the greasy hair!
Ooh other fictional characters that I like.. any of Nalini Singh’s Changeling heroes. mmmmmmm….
Jody F. on 16 Sep 2009 at 3:37 pm #
Ryan Reynolds–those chiseled abs, that great sense of humor! I totally drool over him!
Chelsea B on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:06 pm #
Hmmm. Eric, from True Blood. Definitely
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:08 pm #
How could I forget Ryan Reynolds. I particularly loved him in Blade 3. He was a hoot.
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:09 pm #
I’m definitely team Eric. Do they have shirts?
I just bought a shirt that says Team Edward. I’m sad. I know.
Karen Hawkins on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:34 pm #
How could I have forgotten Vigo Mortenson (Sp?). He’s definitely do-able.
Lori, my stepdaughter is for Team Edward. Where did you get that shirt? I’d like to surprise her with one. Ohhh, she’d LOVE that!
Pesky on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:44 pm #
Karen: Hot Topic for all things Twilight. My friend’s daughter got me into the know on that.
LoriHandeland on 16 Sep 2009 at 4:59 pm #
I just typed team edward into google and bought from there. There are a ton of places. Hot Topic for one like Pesky said.
nancyg on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:36 pm #
oh, adding one more – Eric Bana – oh my gosh! I just fell in love with him when he played Hector in Troy. Brad Pitt who??
nancyg on 16 Sep 2009 at 5:38 pm #
sheesh – hit the button too quickly – I first saw him in Black Hawk Down – he played the Special Forces dude who goes back out there – I was like, “Who is that guy??”
When I was younger, it was Larry Mullen Jr., the drummer from U2. Now I like ‘em scruffier, thinking more Chris Cornell from Soundgarden/Audioslave fame. That man has some pipes!!
evlqn on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:25 pm #
Ron Perlman, he has grown into his face. Love his voice and he is a nice guy, I went to a couple of potlucks that he was at. The man does dishes!
Karen W. on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:31 pm #
I’m definitely on Team David Boreanaz. I fell in love with him as Angel on “Buffy” and “Angel,” and I still love him as Seely Booth on “Bones.” I think he’s a man that both men and women can appreciate since he has a good sense of humor and fun and is down-to-earth and gentlemanly, as well as being gorgeous.
Also, Johnny Depp… Because he’s Johnny Depp.
Amy Scott on 16 Sep 2009 at 6:51 pm #
I love this yummy topic! Ewan McGregor would be my freebie. I love his devilish smile, and he is such a good family man! I would add George Clooney as my second and Johnny Depp as my third.
Also Keanu Reeves in his younger days (Speed), but he isn’t looking good these days.
From tv… I love Hugh Laurie!! He is so good as Dr. House!
Mari on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:00 pm #
My freebie is Eric Bana or Jim Caviziel.
Louisa Cornell on 16 Sep 2009 at 7:37 pm #
I’m having a great time reading everyone’s choices ! When my dh was alive there would have been no freebie for either of us and like you, Lori, I would have had to kill him if he slept with someone else. And he KNEW that! Someone ask him if he was ever tempted when I was away singing in Europe and he said “Are you kidding? She’s half Indian! She’d scalp me! And I’m not talking about the hair on my head!”
That said I guess I could go with a freebie with say ….. Hugh Jackman, or Gerard Butler or Viggo Mortensen (sp?)
Fictionwise, how about Ian MacKenzie from Jennifer Ashley’s The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie? Or Valerius Magnus from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Seize the Night? Or Kylemore from Anna Campbell’s Claiming the Courtesan? OR Alexander MacLean from Karen Hawkins The Laird Who Loved Me ? Any wonder I read so many romance novels ??? VBEG
Patricia Barraclough on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:08 pm #
Never even considered it. It would probably be a character, not a real person. LAST OF THE MOHICANS is my favorite movie and Hawkeye/Nathaniel would be my Freebie.
Cindi on 16 Sep 2009 at 8:37 pm #
For my “REAL” man (like any of those actors are “real” men . . . ) freebie, a FROS man, the tall, dark and yummy Victor Webster. For my “fiction” man . . . . Rangeman. Wouldn’t Victor be a good Ranger if a Stephanie Plum came to the big screen?
But I need to put Nathan Fillion on deck for #2 because, for some reason, I wouldn’t feel like my butt was so much bigger than his (even tho his is very cute and mine really would be bigger . . . ).
nancyg on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:09 pm #
K-Hawk:
I think we have a winner-winner chicken dinner for Nathan Fillion on this week’s edition of Fros – now…hunt down some half naked shots for us, pretty-please?? Sunday IS just around the corner, lol.
Love you big time
billysheart on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:37 pm #
I am only 40 but both these guys have been on my list forever. The newly dearly departed Patrick Swayze and Kris Kristoferson. Oh Yeah!
Shamrock on 16 Sep 2009 at 9:41 pm #
I know I’m a little late, but I just had to add….
—HOTTIE!!!!!
*Jeffrey Donovan–Michael Westen from Burn Notice
*David Boreanez—definitely!!!
*Colin Farrell–YUM!!
*Hugh Laurie–WOW!!!!
*Shemar Moore–Criminal Minds–HOT!!
and I agree with all the Ladies who chose:
*Mark Harmon
*Gerard Butler
*Tom Selleck
*Hugh Jackman
Brandy on 17 Sep 2009 at 12:30 am #
Delurking because I want to play…… Please don’t enter me since I’m so late. I read every comment and didn’t see Shemar Moore’s name until the end! He’s on my list! I would probably giggle every time I he looked at me. Not cool for 35 year old me. *G* (Um, shhhh don’t tell my hubs I have a list! *G*) Nathan Fillion for sure. He is so….. *sigh* close to perfect. David Boreanez for sure, love him as Sealy Booth! Last one would be Brendan Frasier, especially as he was in The Mummy. *G*

Thanks everyone for playing. I’ll chose a winner later today and post on the Genki.
