Ms. Rose,

<>

Yes. :) I was at the end with the elevators letting all the authors through so that they didn't have to go through the crowds at the entrance -- if you remember me I'm right well pleased. I was wearing a blue and white polka-dot dress.

<>

That's very sweet! My daughter is 6 (and a half, have to add that!) and whenever I get dressed up, she has to wear some make-up, too.

<<I>>

Definitely. It's our job to embarrass our children!

Oops! I forgot to congratulate you on the release, Karen! I hope the books fly off the shelves. I'll be stopping by the store tomorrow!

Yikes, Jamie. Well, I've never done THAT at a store! I'll have to remember to watch what I say, because I have said in the past, "I know this isn't you." When that line pops into my head, I'll have to replace it with, "Who can I call?"

Thanks to everybody who's gonna go out and get I CAN SEE YOU! Keep sending the good vibes my way!

JudyF - hold on to that mechanic, honey! That's gold. There have been makeovers where I feel like I have to scrape the goo off my face, too. I like it when I feel like I have nothing on my face and this time, when I left Sephora, I did :-)

Janae and Claudia, thanks for the info on Stacy and CLinton - I'll find out when it's on here.

Ellen - thank you! Need all the good vibes I can get on release day! (Family will thank you too. Everyone gives me kind of a wide berth on release day, LOL.)

PJ - the store I went to was Sephora. I enjoyed the experience and they have a lot of stuff there. The woman said that their store in NYC is three stories! I think that is a must-see stop next time I go to NYC with my pals.

Karen R - What Not To Wear is on TLC. Like Claudia said Stacy and Clinton dress men and women in all shapes and sizes. They even have a book out there on how to dress your best.

Oh Karen...you just made my day and my weekend! I can't wait to pick up your newest. Good luck and stop worrying! You are a best selling author who has NEVER disappointed her fans.

Jamie...I do the SAME THING. I carry my weight right in the belly so I've had quite a few "When's the baby coming," moments. The last time I said, "I don't know, but I have been pregnant for 15 years!" And get this....When I was just two months pregnant, a woman called out to me, "Any day now."

I'm pretty good about picking out clothes and I know what I like for my hair but I'm a total loss when it comes to cosmetics. I wandered into Sephora for the first time (Thank you, Gannon!) when I went to Atlanta last fall for Moonlight & Magnolias and had a wonderful experience. I met a very nice young man who was low-key, skilled and fun to work with. I popped into a Sephora in Charlotte a couple months ago and had a similarly positive experience. They are now my store of choice for cosmetics.

What Not to Wear is a wonderful show and Stacy and Clinton are terrific. I'd love to have them outfit me. :)

Karen Congrats on your release day. I know it will rock I hope my copy comes soon.

I agree on techie people. I am clueless on things. I appreciate those that take the time to help me with things I am not sure about. I have the best mechanic. I have been going to him for ages. He and his co owner are awesome, they explain what has to be done now, what can wait and what we need to do in the future. I never fell like they talk down to me. I recommend them to everyone that asks.

Hair stylist are another. I really like the girl I go to now, she is young 20 or 21 I think. Now he hair isn't wild or bad but its great for her age but not for me. She really listens to what I like and what works for me.

Several years ago I went and had my makeup done. I don't wear much and I felt like I had layers on after this girl got done. I think they need to keep that in mind when they are making you up.
