For Refreshment Only Sundays takes a break from our usual Sunday pursuits to say CONGRATULATIONS to GODDESS RACHEL GIBSON! Last night, lovely Rachel won the Romance Writers of America coveted RITA Award for her outstanding romance, NOT ANOTHER BAD DATE!
Today, in honor of Rachel winning another RITA (will she make bookends, perhaps?), we’re going to take a moment to send her our best wishes, warm kisses, and happy . . .
Ok, I can’t think of anything to rhyme with that.
Let’s just simplify and say mega congrats to the lovely, multi-talented Rachel Gibson!

Big,huge, tremendous HUZZAH Rachel! I loved that book and I am so glad that others were smart enough to agree with me. After all agreeing with me IS the smartest thing anyone can do! (She said with much humility.)
Karen, next Sunday will be FROS as usual I presume.

Thanks so much everyone. I was and am beyond shocked that I won. I didn’t even prepare any sort of speech and I was just stunned. You are all so great to take time out of your Sunday to congratulate me.
I just got home a bit ago. I’m overjoyed and exhausted. I got to say hey to most of the Goddess in DC. Which was really wonderful.

Yeah, Lori, K-Ro, and Julia were robbed of winning and Suzie E, Nicole, Claudia, Sabrina, and I were robbed of both our nominations AND wins! It was a very larcenous affair.
Rachel, I didn’t get to see you at this conference! Mainly because I was madly writing between event and even did ’stay in the room and have room service for two different evening’ but I’m dying to see you in your new hair. Can you post a picture? Please? What made you change it? I think I hear a blog topic coming on ….
