I’ve never seen anything that great looking at the local law enforcement agencies.
I finally found “Talk of the Town” yesterday. Great job Karen H. Hope to see a story about Susan.

One of my closest friend works at the Police Academy in Corning NY. She sees these guys everyday! Its a tough job, but somebody has to do them, I mean it.

Isn’t it thoughtful that they each come with their own set of handcuffs? Yeah. Thoughtful. That’s the word.
I’m sure they lost their shirts helping sweet little old ladies across the street. I’m a sweet little old lady. There’s a street out here. I need help.

Lol! You guys crack me up!
Happy FROS!
(And TinaLouise, yup, Susan and Mark are next! I haven’t got the pub date yet, but should, soon!)

I was at the mall Friday night and the cops all had their shirts on. I don’t get it. Maybe they didn’t see it was shirtless weekend. I better go inform them. LOL
Thanks Ladies.
Gannon on 30 Nov 2008 at 10:00 am #
Oh, yeah! Frisk me, baby and then break out the handcuffs!
JudyPatooty on 30 Nov 2008 at 10:29 am #
Oooh. Arrest me, officer! I’ve been very, very naughty.
Janae on 30 Nov 2008 at 10:54 am #
I wish the cops around here looked this good. I might do something naughty if they did.
SheridanLA on 30 Nov 2008 at 10:56 am #
I am sure there is a petty crime of some sort I could commit… something like lewd conduct…
elsiehogarth on 30 Nov 2008 at 1:15 pm #
Oh my goodness! I wouldn’t mind being pulled over by any one of these officers. Forget about “frisk me” how about a “strip search”. I can tell this group doesn’t eat dunkin’ dounuts or krispey cremes.

Wow I love a man in (and out) of uniform. The cops in my town dont look like that.
LOL I can just imagine it.

I keep looking at these guys and imagining them with *only* their duty belts on…. Wooo is it hot in here??
Ayse on 30 Nov 2008 at 3:02 pm #
The guys at the precinct by my college looked like this
Lisa H on 30 Nov 2008 at 4:16 pm #
I’m glad you goddess enjoyed this little legal treat!
Ayse on 30 Nov 2008 at 4:40 pm #
Oh but they were on horses
love that!
Paula on 30 Nov 2008 at 4:46 pm #
Wow I have never seen boys in blue looking like that near where I live. It must have something to do with me not living in the US!!
Thanks Karen and LIsa H this is just what I need to get me through the next couple of days. I won’t be around until wednesday as I am going into hospital for a minor op tomorrow and so will be sleeping off the effects of the GA. See you all soon.
Margaret on 30 Nov 2008 at 5:03 pm #
Hope all goes well for you, Paula. Take care of yourself.
Margaret on 30 Nov 2008 at 5:04 pm #
Ayse, we have a few mounted police in downtown Lancaster. Also guys on bikes. In spandex shorts. Talk about well-developed legs. Oh yeah. They are well worth taking the guided tour.
Paula on 30 Nov 2008 at 5:05 pm #
Thanks Margaret I’m off to bed now (it is 10pm here) and I have to be up before 6am to have a drink. No food after midnight and nothing to drink after 6 am. But between midnight and 6 am only water!! Oh well these things must be done.
Judy F on 30 Nov 2008 at 5:21 pm #
Good Luck Paula will keep you in my prayers.
Louisa Cornell on 30 Nov 2008 at 5:56 pm #
Hey, back off ladies! Margaret and I need ALL of those guys to help us across the street!
Goodness, I feel a crime wave coming on! Sort of a Thelma and Louisa scenario going on. Whose in?
Yasmin on 30 Nov 2008 at 6:11 pm #
Good Luck Paula. I hope you feel better after the op.Lots of Hugs
Karen Hawkins on 30 Nov 2008 at 6:12 pm #
Paula, please take care! Our thoughts are with you — and I’m glad to know it’s minor surgery. Hugs, m’dear!
Margaret, I want to hear more about those ‘mounted police in downtown Lancaster’ ….. !!!!!
Margaret on 30 Nov 2008 at 8:01 pm #
LOL Karen. Mostly the mounted police are for show. But they are great in getting a crowd to move along. Nobody wants to get stepped on by a horse. They are very friendly. Horses and police. Kids love to pet the horse while the moms are busy ogling the riders. The horses are kept at a park where the public can see them & they are taken by trailer into downtown.
There are more cops on bicycles than just a few years ago. They also can move around in a crowd and traffic much better than a cruiser can. From all that cycling, their legs are fine to look at. Also their buns. Humma humma.
One of the small towns where Olivia plays softball has an officer who also rides a bike on patrol. He is the only one and provides his own bike. He told me he got permission to do this when he moved from being a Lancaster bike patrolman to a regular beat cop in Elizabethtown. He is a nice guy and not to shabby to look at. At least, the softball girls thought so. Talk about giggling and showing off. They sure got in my way!
Karen Hawkins on 30 Nov 2008 at 8:51 pm #
Margaret, how cool! They are nice guys. I interviewed a ton of them when researching for my book and was very pleasantly surprised at how gentlemanly they were. Oh, there was an arse or two amongst them, but they were not readily suffered by their fellow officers.
It’s a pity those soft ballers got in your way. You need something to knock them down when they’re blocking your view!
Lisa H on 30 Nov 2008 at 10:56 pm #
Paula - hoping and praying for a speedy recovery.
