Mary C, k.d.Lang has a heck of a voice — just gorgeous. I need to look for that video! The Rose is one of those gets you when you don’t expect it to sort of songs.

Btw, I had the BEST time with the bounce – off at the Safeco! I’m eeeevil, but oh, it was fun to write!

Kathy, I can’t read a book without dissecting it in my mind — it’s one of the downsides of being a writer. You had some great ideas and I passed them on to the gang. They’ll discuss and take it from there, but it’s great to throw ideas out there. Thanks for taking the time!!!

Meg, I would LOVE to see something you’d choreographed! I just don’t have move-imagination to make up those things, but I am a deep, ardent appreciator of those who can.

Btw, speaking of having to have a partner, when my daughter was younger, she and her brother would take our video camera and their GI Joes and make them dance. They’d pose ‘em, shoot a second, turn the camera off, and pose them again. It was HYSTERICAL! They were like the Army Version of the Backstreet Boys.

Off topic – Talk of the Town was great – funny, sexy, hot and a cast of unforgettable characters. I especially enjoyed the confrontation between Roxie and Robin in front of the Safe-Co.

OK. lets try this again. I like the video. And I think she looks just like you too! I have never been great at dancing by myself. However, put me with a partner and I can do pretty good. When my sister and I were young we choreographed an entire dance to In the Mood! Yes, the big band music. That was fun!! And my oldest nephew and I would dance to the music from Titanic just like they did in the movie. That was fun too! I guess you can see that I would rather have a partner to dance. Helps me beat my shyness.

Judy, it wasn’t your Internet Explorer, but one of our little add on programs that caused the glitch. We just got it worked out, though.

I stopped watching MTV at about the same time you did. I just don’t enjoy The Real Life or whatever they call it. Seemed like the worst parts of high school — fights and gossiping and silliness like that. :-/

Sheesh! Do you have fire extinguishers nearby? I ALWAYS have three or four at my house. When I was younger, our house caught on fire, though it didn’t burn more than the wall in the front hall, it still scared me to death.

I’ve been wanting to comment all day, but for some reason I couldn’t do it when I was at work! Maybe it was an Internet Explorer issue? I don’t know. (Just browsing back up through the comments, I see I wasn’t the only one having problems!)

All I wanted to say was … WOW, Karen! Your daughter and her bandmates are very talented! Even in its rough form their video was beautiful to watch.

You’ve got every right to be very proud!

P.S. The last time I regularly watched MTV was in the 80s – back when it was music videos and only music videos. They lost me when they started all of those extraneous programs that they seem so fixated on now.
