It’s my birthday.

Yup. It’s my birthday. I’m 29 allll over again!

Because of that, I am posting a FROS repeat. We had this picture not too long ago, but it spoke to my heart.

OK, maybe not my heart exactly, but it spoke to me and I’m still panting over it, so we’ll SAY it spoke to my heart, anyway.

Hope that SF is living up to your expectations and that there will bve lots of photos to share with all of us who couldn’t make it. By the way the book you were talking about (twilight?) yesterday who is it by and waht is it about? Maybe I’m being a bit thick here but is it by one of the goddessess?

    Paula, “Twilight” is #2 (I think) in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight-Saga. It’s about a girl who falls in love with a vampire but I have only read some excerpts so maybe someone who read it completely can tell you more. I only know that almost everybody who talked to me about it was absolutely captivated - by both Ms Meyer’s writing style and the plot itself. It has to be a damned good series but somehow I never manage to buy the books. We’ll see what the future brings…

    You know, the first time I saw this picture, I was so overwhelmed with lust, I thought he was a firefighter. Now, I see that he must be a pilot. Let’s hear it for becoming a member of the mile high club. Whew!

    Thanks guys! I will write more when I get to Charlotte, but in the interim, let me say I will be grinning as I imagine finding this guy on my couch. Yowza!!!!

    I don’t know his name but it has to be something tasty like Derrick or Nick. Yummmm!

    I am going to have to read the Meyer books, too. They are supposed to be phenomenal!

    Lisa K and Paula, Twilight is the first in the series. There is also #2 Eclipse, #3 New Moon and #4, which came out at midnight on August 2nd, Breaking Dawn. I have not read the series, but I have 2 daughters who are in to the books. They are indeed about a girl who falls for a vampire. Both of my daughters went to an Anti-Prom at Barnes and Noble and picked up their books at Midnight. They both finished reading book 4 within 24 hours. My elder daughter has read each of the first 3 books no less than 3 times. I have not had the time to read them, but have heard enough of the plot to know how it all ends, but I won’t give that away.

    I am a fan of anything that gets people to read, and the Twilight series seems to have done that.

    As far as the Twighlight series.. I liked the first one, just picked up the 2nd.. we will see. I was a bit more conscious that this is a book for younger readers with this than i was the Harry Potter series - not sure why. Perhaps the sentence structure… some of the wording.. not sure. It is a good story so far - not one that I will eagerly await future installments (like Harry Potter) but a good time just the same.

    The Twilight series is wonderful…..I was out there, with my 16 yr. old niece-Chelsea, on Friday night. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed the series and look forward to the movie.

    Btw, Paula, there was a USAToday story on Stephanie Meyers and she wanted to put a warning in the front of the next book. It is supposed to be exceptionally ‘bloody’ and she didn’t want kids under 15 or so to read it.
