Hell in a handbasket

Since I’m probably going to hell in a handbasket anyway, I’ve decided to come out of the closet and freely admit:

kevin-mapes1.jpg1.) I look at mug shots. Especially mug shots of drunk people. Even better if the drunk person has resisted arrest.

2.) I listen to Tom Jones. And yeah, I sing along too. Hey, what’s not to love about Sex Bomb?

3.) I’m hooked on reality television. Love love love Project Runway. And while I’m telling secrets, I watch Flavor of Love.

250px-chuckydoll1.jpg4.) Cheesy horror flicks. SAW 1, 2, 3 and 4. Oh, and I love me some Chucky.

5.) I have been known to eat a pound of peanut M&M’s, but my favorite indulgence is Nerds. The theater size.

6.) I buy the National Enquirer. I don’t always read and the believe the articles, mostly because I don’t care about Hollywood, but I do love seeing all the celebrity cellulite.

What are you secrets? I won’t tell anyone.

Oh man, Rachel, you promise not to tell, right?

    1. To me, farts and poop stories are the funniest thing EVAH. I have the sense of humor to rival a teen age boys.

    2. I have a secret crush on Kevin Smith.

    3. A pound of peanut M&M’s? Lightweight ;)

    4. I have to eat sweet & sour chicken with fried rice, eggroll and egg drop soup at least 3 times a week. Must have the tea too.

    5. I’ve watched those Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel videos too many times to count and I still laugh till tears stream down my face.

    Kim, off to youtube. again.

  2. Margaret Garland on 28 Feb 2008 at 6:41 am #

To each her own, Rachel. I can’t get into reality shows or, definitely, scary movies. I do like M&Ms and like to sing along. Mostly C&W. Brooks & Dunn’s “Believe” breaks my heart every time.

I like mug shots, too. Have you seen The Smoking Gun web site? http://www.thesmokinggun.com/ They have an extensive list of celebrity or infamous mug shots. One the worst is of Nick Nolte. Oh my! Scary.

The featured document of the day provides some interesting reading.

Kim, I don’t know who Kevin Smith is but I may have to hie myself off for Chinese food today. Yum.

  4. Cookiedough/Kathy on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:22 am #

    1. I keep a cookie jar full of chocolate at all times…explains why I can’t lose any weight
    2. I watch Caught On Tape- those sad sad car chases
    3. I too love Kevin Smith
    4. the Jimmy Kimmel video stuff is genius!!
    5. I can recite the Mrs Premise, Mrs Conclusion skit from Monty Python, usually after a few glasses of some kind of alcohol

  5. TrustMe_2_Forget on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:42 am #

Cheech and Chong movies and Monty Pyton’s The Meaning of Life crack me up (i can recite lines from both)

  6. Susan K on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:53 am #

    1. I have every Roseanne season on DVD and watch them continuously.

    2. I love watching the Disney channel and especially Hannah Montana. I have no kids so I just say I’m practicing for when I do.

    3. I know the Original Star Wars trilogy by heart and can recite every line. (And I do much to my fiance’s annoyment.)

    4. Ditto for the Titanic movie.

Kim, I’m meeting my friend for dinner at our favorite Chinese place.

  7. cail on 28 Feb 2008 at 8:21 am #

    1) Although not considered out of the ordinary around here, my full wall with floor to ceiling shelves full of romance novels is my favorite part of my apartment

    2) i even know the birthday, real names and family historys of most yankees and some of the minor leaguers.

    3) i wanted to be lily von schtup (from blazing saddles) when i grew up, until i realized exactly what she was… i can still recite that whole movie, and most of the other mel brooks films by heart.

    4) if my dear heart isn’t around i’m likely eating cereal or brownies for dinner, not because its easy, but because it’s my ideal dinner.

    5) i’m netflixing tween tv shows. Mostly from my childhood (boy meets world, Pete and Pete) but I also adore Lizzy McGuire and Hannah Montanna. I was extremely bummed when ABC decided not to pick up the former for primetime after the disney contract ran out.

I’m sure I can think of tons more…

  8. Karen Hawkins on 28 Feb 2008 at 8:49 am #

    Well, Rachel, since I know you won’t tell . . .

    1) I never wear my glasses (I have a severe stigma and can’t wear contacts, even the stigma ones) and so I often don’t recognize people untll they are RIGHT THERE. Why don’t I wear my glasses? Because I LIKE it when the world is a little fuzzy. It’s so pretty!

    2) I am addicted to TMZ.com and perezhilton.com because, well . . . why not?

    3) I’ve got a serious-probably-needs-therapy thing for the following totally non-traditionally sexy guys: Will Ferrell, Tim Russert, and Cesar Milan (the Dog Whisperer).

    4) I love Project Runway but haven’t yet admitted it to my Dear Heart. Last night, he flips through our taped shows and says “Who is taping Project Runway?” “I dunno,” I mumble, stuffing my face with popcorn. He then ERASED IT and I just sat there thinking, “Darn it! Now I’ll have to retape that!”

    5) Reno 911 is the funniest show on God’s green earth.

    6) I’m a world class, self-educated, Olympic-medal quality procrastinator.

  9. Karen Hawkins on 28 Feb 2008 at 8:50 am #

Another secret pleasure (And Rachel, maybe you go here, too.) is smokinggun.com . . . the celebrity mug shots are PRICELESS!

  10. Barbara Vey on 28 Feb 2008 at 8:51 am #

I love Beauty and the Geek. I didn’t want to.

  11. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 8:56 am #

Oh, Rachel, this is a dangerous topic!

    1) I’m scared of snakes. No, really terrified. When I go out into my yard at night I loudly proclaim to the snakes that I am coming and to please remove themselves from the premises.

    2) I get addicted to TV series on DVD like StarGate or Dead Like Me. When the family isn’t home, I’ll sneak an episode, then put the DVD back and suggest we all watch it later (my 2nd time). I could watch three or four at a time.

    3) I could eat TicTacs by the box. M&Ms by the bag. If it’s little and unwrapped, I’m toast.

    4) I don’t mind Hannah Montana on TV and I love Barry Manilow.

    5) Scary movies give me nightmares.

    6) I love cookie dough (I mean the real kind, although I’m fond of our own Cookiedough). They say it can make you sick, but sometimes I’ll go buy a roll of cookies, just to eat the dough. I can make it last a long time. Which of course is an entirely relative statement.

  12. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:00 am #

    1. I too am a reality tv junkie. Project Runway, America’s Top Dance Crew, (hangs head) Flavor of Love, America’s Next Top Model and yes, even Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.
    2. Kevin Smith is one of my favorite director/actors, though I was more than a little disappointed when Silent Bob was no longer silent in Chasing Amy.
    3. I know all the words to most of the disney kid movies and sing all the songs along with them…sometimes even when my daughter isn’t there. I literally have a mixed tape with Kiss the Girl on it, from Little Mermaid. (I did not however make that tape…but I bet you can guess who did)
    4. I secretly have a crush on the blue Wiggle, Anthony.
    5. The Naked Gun movies are hilarious and I have the trilogy box set.
    6. I have all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer AND Gilmore Girls on DVD, and can quote them fairly efficiently.
    7. As a kid I had the nickname of Bea Arthur, cause I used to wear those really long vests like Dorothy did on the Golden Girls.

  13. elsiehogarth on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:02 am #

Ok, I am alone while I write down these “true confessions”….

    1. I love Court TV. It is beyond America’s Most Wanted and Cops even though they still hold a special spot in my heart.

    2. My Dad loves Tom Jones. He says there is no better showman then Tom but I disagree….Wayne Newton is the MAN.

    3. The only reality show I watch and love is “Project Runway”. Did you watch it last night? It was “fierce, fabulous and flawless” quoting my favorite Christian.

    4. I love cheesy horror movies….Chucky, Carrie, Monster Squad, Scream etc. but I love the classic originals: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolf Man and The Invisible Man.

I am also enamored of all movies of the 30’s and 40’s. Musicals with Astaire and Rogers, Carmen MIranda and Betty Grable, gangster movies with James Gagney( even though my favorite movie of his is A Midsummer Nights Dream) and I love the Thin Man movies with Myrna Loy and Wlliam Powell. I just love the gangster language, Doll.

  14. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:04 am #

    1. I’ve had a crush on Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford FOREVER.

    2. TMZ is one of my homepages. I’m an addict as well. Just recently got hooked on to Perez Hilton.

    3. Ditto about Reno 911. What’s not funny about that show?

    4. I have a not-so-secret crush on Elliott Sadler. *sigh*

    5. I cry when I watch Jersy Girl.

  15. elsiehogarth on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:08 am #

    Continuation.

    5. I say a pound of M & M peanuts is about right, for me, along with a bag of BBQ Lays potato chips but my all time favorite chocolates are TOBLERONS. I just love nouggats.

    6. My Mom gets her celebrity magazines on a weekly basis: US, In Touch, Lifstyle and I have scanned them for the pictures but I really like the magazine that comes from Britain pertaining to different cakes. Ever since watching “Ace of Cakes” and the “Cake Challenge” competions on the Food Network, I am always picking up that magazine.

  16. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:09 am #

OOOO and I am secretly in love with all things Red Sox. The funny part? I started getting interested in them because of a boy I met who lived outside of Boston. I fell out of love with the boy and in love with the Red Sox. They are here in my town for Spring Training (which begins today!) and I am beside myself. I want to skip work and go and see my boys…I have all sorts of memorabilia and even have a piece of homeplate from their curse breaking 2004 World Series Win.

  17. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:10 am #

TMZ.com and perezhilton.com are my latest obsession. I stayed up late to watch Project Runway last night to see if Chris or Rami went home. I loved both collections.

I watch all Will Ferrel movies. Even the clip on you tube with Pearl the landlord.

Who is Kevin Smith? I’ve never seen Beauty and the Geek, Reno 911 or Hanna Montana. What am I missing?

I’ve also watched the Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel videos repeatedly.

    Rachelg

  18. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:13 am #

Kevin Smith is the genius behind Clerks, MallRats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jersey Girl, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and of course Clerks II. He works behind the cameras on all of those, but also plays the role of Silent Bob.

  19. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:14 am #

Oh and Rachel, my brother got arrested last year for not paying his tickets on time. His mug shot is hilarious and I have it posted on my MySpace and show just about everyone. I have the County Jail on my favorites so I can search for mug shots when I read news stories.

  20. SuzyQ on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:19 am #

    1. I have a subscription to Star magazine.

    2. I once told my son eating the cake batter from the mixers will get you sick. When he left the room I licked them clean. Sad, I know, but I hadn’t had cake batter in ages!

    3. I need to watch Rock of Love every Sunday and the repeats during the week.

    4. Snik, I always had a thing for Anthony too.

    5. I can eat a whole bag of BBQ Fritos - actually two bags - as they are kind of small to begin with.

    6. I have a Flickr addiction.

  21. cail on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:20 am #

Rachel, you are missing a lot in not watching Beauty and the Geek. I suggest you start immediately.

  22. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:23 am #

Since no one will ever find out………..
    6. The Journey of Natty Gann is my favorite movie with John Cusack. Maybe cause he was so young? I dunno.

    7. During the great lawn debacle, I took the plastic rotating thinging inside of Sniky’s microwave. You know, the part that sits under the glass plate. I was bitter. I’ve over it now. Wonder if she ever knew…….

    8. I’ve never read a Steven King novel. I have watched a couple of his movies, but never read one of his stories.

    9. I could eat the boneless honey bbq chicken from the WalMart deli (the hot section) like my fellow goddesses can eat M&M’s

    (I’m sure there are more)

  23. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:30 am #

LOL Kari!!! I gave that microwave to someone since I was moving back in with mom and she did ask me if I had that piece. I very bitterly said, no the
    B#*$% must’ve kept it HAHAHAHA

  24. doglady on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:32 am #

I have eaten a pound of those mini Reese’s cups in one sitting. The things they tell you to have in case of an emergency? Nah! I DO however have Reese’s cups, always!

Okay, I fell over at Karen R’s announcement to the snakes. I happen to love snakes. Some of my best pets have been snakes.

I swear at my bosses in Russian and Cherokee.

I love slasher movies. And I watch Shaun of the Dead at least once a week.

I eat most meals right out of the pan to avoid washing dishes.

I buy the National Enquirer and read all of it.

  25. Susan K on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:34 am #

Karen Rose- I am also deathly afraid of snakes. I’m going to have to try your method of telling them to leave the premises.

I also sleep with the light on or the tv on if I’ve watched a scary movie. Cause at that point I’m terrified. Which is why I hardly ever watch them. I watched a show once about the 100 scariest movie moments and that made me sleep with the light AND tv on. I can’t handle scary movies.

I also can eat m&m’s by the pound…skittles too.

  26. Karen Hawkins on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:41 am #

Sniky and Kari, you two CRACK ME UP! You sound just like sisters!

  27. Freedom Writer on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:43 am #

    1. I love America’s Next Top Model. Some of the cat fights are fun.

    2. I watch NASCAR races to see the crashes.

    3. I used to love watching Cheaters.

    4. I am the best sneak eater in 4 counties, and can we talk about buttered noodles. (wiping off the drool from my mouth).

    5. And finally I have just 3 words, Mister Roger’s Neighborhood. Who could resist that cardigan?

  28. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:52 am #

Oohh, America’s Next Top Model. Love that. I can only watch Rock Of Love for so long before Brett creeps me out. I think he wears a wig sown into a bandana. Flavor Flav is creepy too. He looks like Mr. Hankey from South Park.

Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood? Wow, you better go into hiding now.

Btw, am I the only one who is shocked to find out that Will and Jada Smith have fallen under Tom Cruise’s spell and joined the Scientologists? I always thought that was one couple that would remain untouched by Hollywood. I guess not.

  30. Kasey on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:54 am #

    1. I too love Project Runway and the Amazing Race.

    2. I cannot walk into a store such as Wal-Mart or Target and not buy a book or a movie or both.

    3. Like SnikyWhite, I too can recite most of the Disney movies and sing along to every word. My roomate and I got through the whole Aladdin movie once without even watching it. Sad, I know.

    4. I love Inidiana Jones, seriously, I do! I am more excited about the fourth movie than everyone I know and they are tired of hearing me gush about it.

    5. I buy People Magazine sometimes just so I can do the crossword.

I’m sure there are more but I can’t think of any at the moment.

  31. Freedom Writer on 28 Feb 2008 at 9:57 am #

The movie “10 Things I Hate About You” is a favorite of mine. Along with the Frank Langella movies “The Mark of Zorro” and “Dracula”, and anything Marx Brothers. Harpo is my fave.

Snakes, I can take them or leave them, but if a bat get nears me I scream like a little girl, and believe me that never happens otherwise.

I don’t get into scary movies, but I read “The Amityville Horrors” when I was in college and needed to sleep with the light on. Of course, that was in the late 70’s when we still thought it was true.

  32. Freedom Writer on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:05 am #

Kasey, I am sure that you buy People Magazine for the crossword puzzles, and most men only buy Playboy for the articles. But I agree about Indiana Jones at least Parts 1 & 3 and hopefully 4. The second installment was just plain gross.

I have children that are really into Star Wars 1-6. I remember seeing episode 3, the first SW movie in the theater, and I still cheer when the Death Star blows up. I have seen all 6 movies, but the original 3 movies outshine the prequels by the light of the two suns of Tattoine.

  33. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:05 am #

    KarenH-No, you’re not alone.

    Oh, that reminds me-

    10. I often let celebrities personal lives cloud my judgement on if I sould buy/see/hear their work.
    ie.
Tom Curise-wont pay to be entertained by him.
    Lindsay Hohan-no thanks

    There are many more.

  34. Kay on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:06 am #

    OOOOH, promise you won’t tell?

    1. I an addicted to SUDOKU. I must do the one in the paper every day. Even the six star one-no matter how long it takes.

    2. I can’t wait to see the GET SMART movie. It was one of my favorite tv shows.

    3. M & M’s are a food group.

4.Dh and I do the Month Python DEAD PARROT sketch. :-)

    5. I’m still in love with Paul Newman.

  35. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:09 am #

I too have all seven seasons of Buffy ( and Angel’s 5) and quote them all.
I loaned them all out for six months and went into withdrawal.

America’s Next Top Model is a must see!

    all TMZ all the time!
Karen, I thought Will and Jada had better brains in their heads!

  36. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:11 am #

I’m 43 and I watch Hanna Montana every night.

  37. Emmiebee on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:13 am #

    Yikes!

Well, ladies, OBVIOUSLY, we are not just any old weird-Os, we simply all have uncommonly good, yet unusual taste! Add me to the Star Trek, Star Wars, Disney, Project Runway lovin’, candy-snarfin’ crowd. And add in animae movies, especially Miyazaki movies. The little Totoro’s are the cutest cartoon characters EVER!

As a cherry to top my wierdness sunday, I can belt out every song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers- ha!

Emmiebee, a laughing, not “Sobbin’, Sobbin’, Sobbin’” woman.

  38. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:13 am #

Well, yeah, who ISN’T in love with Paul Newman - those beautiful blue eyes of his and he’s been married to the same woman for all these years.

It’s not dead … It’s just resting. Beautiful plumage, the Norwegian Blue.

Here’s an embarrassing one - I love the movie with PeeWee Herman and his stolen bike! I’m snickering as I type, thinking about Herman wearing that fuzzy pink sweater and making snuggly with the convicted felon on the run. And when I finally got to the Alamo? You’re supposed to be quiet there out of respect for the fallen, but I kept thinking that the ALAMO HAS NO BASEMENT and had to leave so I could laugh outside. I want my bike!

    Comedic genius!

  39. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:15 am #

Steve Guttenburg was the first actor I’ve ever had a crush on. When I found out that he was going to be doing Dancing with the Stars, I texted Kari instantly to share my excitement. I don’t think she cared quite as much.

  40. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:16 am #

See, about the snakes, they say they are more afraid of you than you are of them. This is patently untrue, because I am deathly afraid of them. But, on the off chance they are patently afraid of me, I give fair warning.

If I actually saw one, I’d probably … No, don’t even want to think about it.

Will Smith got sucked into Scientology? How disappointing.

  41. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:16 am #

Emmibee! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I watch that movie EVERYtime I go see my Aunt and we sing along. I danced once too, but I killed her vase so I stay in my seat now.

  42. Meg on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:19 am #

I feel like you guys are reading my mind!! Examples: (and don’t laugh!)
1–I LOVE Kevin Smith and all his movies. I liked his bit in chasing amy.
    2–Reno 911 is hilarious!
3–I sleep with a night light. Especially after watching haunted stuff on the travel channel or bio or history international or the discovery channel. And Susan, the 100 scariest movie moments had me not even wanting to get off of my couch. There’s even 100 MORE scary movie moments but the first was the better of the two.
4–My new favorite shows are MonsterQuest and UFO Hunters on the history channel. And yes I do believe in the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot.
5–I LOVE to watch WWEs Monday Night Raw. I am totally in love with Triple H and hoot and holler like I am actually there when I am only in the living room by myself. Sometimes it is even hard to contain myself when I am around others.
6–Soap Operas are another must. But not just any. It’s only As the World Turns and Guiding Light!

  43. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:19 am #

Karen Rose - My friend recently relocated to California and he was driving there. I begged him to take route 66 and recreate the scene in that movie at the Dinosaur Park in Arizona. He told me he would get me the video I wanted on his way back through LOL I LOVE PeeWee Herman’s Big Adventure even if he does fondle himself in public, his movie made me laugh…well so did him fondling himself in public, but that’s another story isn’t it? HA

  44. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:19 am #

Loved Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure–remember Large Marge?

  45. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:20 am #

Rachel, your kids are past the Hannah Montana stage. It’s a Disney show starring Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus - yes that Billy Ray of Achy Brakey Heart fame. In the show, Miley is is a rock star who wears a wig to perform, then takes it off to be a “normal” kid in a normal high school. Who didn’t have that fantasy when they were little? I can sing into the handle of a hairbrush like there’s no tomorrow.

I liked Achy Brakey Heart, btw. I liked Billy Ray. I like him on Hannah Montana. And it’s not such a bad show. Youngest likes it and I pretend to bemoan, but it’s entertaining.

  46. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:20 am #

God yes, Large Marge. All I have to see is PeeWee cavorting around in that ridiculous suit and I start laughing.

  47. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:23 am #

Meg! I watch As the World Turns and Guilding Light, too. ATWT is kind of boring me right now, and I want to yell at GL, Tammy is DEAD. Move on to a new story line!

  48. Susan K on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:23 am #

I saw a snake in our backyard once when I was a kid. I went screaming into the house and wouldn’t come out. My friend laughed at me and said it was just a small garter snake but I told her it didn’t matter. Then one time my parents and I went on vacation for two weeks. When we came back my mom went to take the dog out and said a snake went down between the sidewalk and the side of our house so I needed to be careful opening the door so it wouldn’t get in. (Seems while we were gone it decided to move under our house.) Needless to say I didn’t go out the back for weeks until my parents told me it was gone. I don’t mess with any type of snake. I can’t even go in the reptile house at the zoo. Creeps me out too much.

  49. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:24 am #

Guiding Light is the only soap that I ever followed during the years. I totally LOVE Reva! I was sooo sad back in the day when she drove off into the water.
Tammy is dead? I have some serious catching up to do.

Ah, variety, the spice of life. Although some of us are more than a little nutmeg. Hee.

Oh, and I have recently discovered that Disney brand jeans fit me better than any others that I have EVER worn. Is this just chance, or are the gods snickering at me? So yes, that IS Snow White on my 30-something ass. Doesn’t she look great? You should see Tinkerbelle.

  52. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:31 am #

I know about Hanna Montana. I’ve just never seen it. But the only reason I know is because last xmas we had chosen a Salvation Army family to buy gifts for. One of the girls wanted Hanna Montana stuff. When I saw the dolls looking different, I thought one was Hanna and one was her friend. Kind of like Barbie and PJ, but I couldn’t figure out which one was Hanna. I had to ask a little girl who was in the aisle at Toys Are Us. She explained it to me. And yes, I felt very old.

And THE best crossword puzzle is in the National Enquirer. The one in People is good, but I’m not up on a lot of pop culture so I can’t ever finish it.

I read all the rags. I love reality TV, too: Project Runway, Make me a Supermodel, Housewives of Whatever City. I love all the HBO shows, too. The Wire, In Treatment, Big Love, Curb Your Enthusiasm (I’ve seen every episode a gazillion times!).

Rachel G — I created a perfectly good substitute for Tammy in JONATHAN’s STORY and they ditched her! I agree — tammy is dead, move on…move on to what I wrote before the mass market edition comes out, LOL!

  56. Susan K on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:46 am #

I am addicted to Soduko as well. One day when I was bored I decided to go to the store and buy a book of Soduko puzzles. Well I ended up with Soduko for Dummies since it explained how it worked. I spent about 2 hours figuring out how to do it and then it just clicked and off I went. Now it’s my favorite kind of puzzle. 2nd being Fill-It-Ins and 3rd being Word Searches.

  57. Freedom Writer on 28 Feb 2008 at 10:47 am #

Love, love, love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Who would name their daughter Dorcus?

Guiding Light and ATWT are my most favorite from my soap watching days. Now my 19 year old has gotten into ATWT and I can tell her the background on her favorite characters parents and grandparents.

2 other guilty pleasures for me on TV are Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted, and if Sylvia Browne is on Montel I love to watch.

Julia, I am a couple of days behind, but wasn’t Bill trying to get in touch with Aubrey? Maybe bring her to town an dcouse trouble for Jonathan?

I have Sudoku on my computer, but it is evil because it pulls me away from the work I need to be doing on my computer.

  60. Susan K on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:08 am #

Wish I had Sudoku on my computer. Of course then I wouldn’t be getting much done.

I also have Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. “Going Courtin’” is my favorite song. I love the dancing!

  61. SuzyQ on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:16 am #

Add me to the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers fans. I’ve loved that movie since I was a little girl.

  62. Kasey on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:18 am #

Freedom Writer - I admit there are certain issues of people I buy such as the Sexies Man alive and Most Beautiful People, but any other ones I pick up is mainly for the crossword puzzle. I was in Target last week and found a entire book of People Crossword Puzzles. I was so excited that I bought it right away. I have already done about 20 of them. They are like an addiction to me.

I don’t know why so many people don’t like Temple of Doom. When I was young that was my favorite. Now I think Last Crusade is my favorite but I still love Temple of Doom. Realy I love them all. When I was home sick from school in elementary school I would watch all three of the Indiana Jones movies in a row. Sometimes I still do.

  63. Kasey on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:18 am #

I love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers too!

  65. Meg on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:38 am #

Temple of Doom was always my favorite! My sister’s too. Although I can hardly watch the bug scene without covering my eyes. And it always gives me the shivers. But I am sooo excited about the new one that is coming out!!

  66. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:38 am #

Rachel, the Princess Bride is quite possibly the most magnificent movie. It was made for quoting! I got married in a court room ceremony and the judge who married us had these horrible bushy eyebrows. He started the vows by saying “Marriage is…” and I started laughing instantly. My whole body was shaking because what he said is not what I heard. I heard “Mawwage. Mawwage is what bwings us togedder” My now ex husband had no idea why I was laughing and I couldn’t stop. I had tears streaming down my face, and everyone just assumed I was emotional but I was picturing the judge in a very large Pope Hat.

    Okay some secrets huh?

1)I love to complain about driving in to school. 51 miles one way. 102 a day. But actually it’s my favorite part of my day.
2)I’m addicted to myspace. I have it on my cellphone and I have it set to message me when I get a message. I have everyone from cousins to boyfriends on my friends list that I change according to my mood.
3)I love all of Audrey Hepburn movies. I love Audrey Hepburn. I love the late 50’s.
4)My favorite day of the week is not Friday, but Tuesday. The day I have school from 9 a.m. until 9:35 p.m. Call me nuts, but it’s the best day of the week. Friday is good though!
5)I watch CNN. Compulsively. I care about the election and I care about the direction this country is going. No one else in my circle does.
6)I have broken up with my boyfriend at least 3 times a month for the past 5 months, but every single time he comes around I melt again. I have no self-restraint.

  68. freshechelle on 28 Feb 2008 at 11:46 am #

    Since Rachel won’t tell anyone:
My favorite guilty TV pleasure is the Girls Next Door. I just love a good trainwreck and this has the makings of doozy.

I don’t really care how everyone’s weekend was. I just ask because its expected.

I could watch reruns of Wings forever.

I’ll be sure wave to you all from hell.

Sniky you are priceless. Princess Bride is one of my most favorite movies. And John Wayne in The Quiet Man. Paul Newman in Exodus. PeeWee Herman in PeeWee’s Playhouse. I watched PW Playhouse religiously when it was on Saturday mornings. Don’t watch much tv anymore, I’m too busy reading my romances with HEA.

    1. I never listen to the radio if I can possibly help it.

    2. The Geico commercials with the lizard and the “actors” who interpret for “real” people crack me up way too much.

    3. I watch that show “How Clean Is Your House” so that I don’t feel as bad about my closet clutter.

    4. I watch that show “You Are What You Eat” so that I don’t feel as bad about the fat roll around my stomach.

    5. I listen to John Denver at top volume, singing madly, especially “Calypso”. OMG, I love Calypso.

    6. *whispers* I think I met a cute boy who likes me.

    LOL These are great!
    1. Cail, I also wanted to be Lily Von Schtup when I grew up, & I still do. (wed woses, how womantic) & I have had an addiction to Mel Brooks movies since adolescence.
    2. Growing up I had a speech impediment & couldn’t pronounce my R’s (which fit nicely into #1)
    3. My first movie star crush was Kevin Costner (dances with wolves era) & Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, The Last Crusade). I was probably 6 or 7.
    4. Scarlett O’Hara is my idol… she was a conninving bitch & she still had all the men in love with her. It scares my husband.
    5. I’m still in love with a young Dean Martin and a young Elvis, they will always be IT for me.
    6. I am DEATHLY afraid of spiders. I can’t see them, hear people talk about them, & I can’t even bring myself to get close enough to them to kill.
    7. I LOVE Musicals, Anchors Aweigh might be my fav.
    8. I have an addiction to Flaming Hot Limon Cheetos and Movie Theatre Butter Popcorn (entire bags at a time)

  75. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 12:06 pm #

For all of the Monty Pyton fans coming out of the closet today, I just saw “Spamalot” at the Wynn in las Vegas last week, and John O’Hurley was insanely funny as King Arthur. Wait, was I there? One of my fav movies is 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, I have it on DVD along with a million other old movies.

I love cookie dough too - even the candy cookie dough. I could eat sweets for every meal!

I watch the Barbie Movies and love them along with various kids shows & movies on Disney and Nick. Scooby Doo is my favorite cartoon. I always complain about my hubs watching Family Guy and secretly I laugh along with him.

I love Star Trek the Next Generation with Picard! My fav!

    1) I LOVE Seven Brides for Seven Brothers also. HAVE to watch it every time it is on tv even though I have the dvd!
    2) LOVE the Abbott & Costello movies. They are just a scream. And I love John Wayne movies, esp when he’s playing against type cast. Favorite JW movie has to be The Quiet Man.
    3) I too love all the paranormal shows on tv. Most Haunted being my favorite.
    4) Sudoku-I’m there with the others. Love them and all kinds of wordy type puzzles.

I have criticized country music my whole life, being a die hard classic rock chick, but lately I LOOOOVE country music.

I always pee when I laugh, sneeze or cough, so I always have to cross my legs before indulging in one of the aforementioned activities.

I love the movie Cinderella. I still think one day, if I play my cards right, a prince will show up at my door with a glass slipper in his hand.

I was also completely hooked on X-files until David D left and LOVED Alias!
Ooh loved the movie Blade and I am dying to see the rest but have to wait until my husband is out of town. He hates Vampire stuff.

Colinfirthfan-I have a confession to make. I loved John Dogget. I found him to be so sexy. I was always hoping he and Reyes would make it together, and not just because I have a huge girlcrush on Annabeth Gish.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s all Mulder all the way, but I was one of the few who didn’t hate Dogget and actually liked him. I think “Improbable” was my favorite episode.

Sniky, I don’t get HBO! Everyone keeps telling me I have to but I barely have time to watch Psych, Medium, Bones and Carpoolers. There are soo many shows I want to watch but it cuts into my reading time so I just stick with the few!
    I love Scrubs too.

It wasn’t that I hated John Dogget - I stopped watching because - wait 2001 - that was the year my parents died so I was gone for months. When I got back and turned on my T.V. again - there were new characters everywhere and I just couldn’t get back into it.
    I don’t think I’d watch X-files re-runs but I always watch Charmed re-runs. :-)
Oh and I like watching he Golden Girls every now and then. My mom and I used to watch it so I kinda got used to it.

I recently saw The A-Team again. Still love it!
(Here’s a big confession - I loved David Hasseloff as The Knight Rider. I remember I was 8 or 10 when I first saw the videos)

    3) I used to be addicted to Charmed when it first started. My best friend and I would call each other during the commercials to talk about it. Yes, our husbands thought we were slightly crazy.
    4) People magazine is my celebrity gossip source of choice, but I’m fascinated by them all. The Enquirer ‘celeb cellulite’ edition does indeed make me feel better about myself, Rachel. Maybe I should send them a thank you note. ;)
    5) I love to watch The Real Housewives of Orange County and make rude comments when they say they’re just like everyone else. Riiiight!!!
    6) Monty Python And The Holy Grail and The Princess Bride are must see movies!

Colinfirthfan - I love these too! Usually I just check them out at the library but sometimes if I’m really wanting a quick romance read I’ll buy a couple of them. They take about 2-3 hours to read with limited interruption.

Kelly Ann - I am always reading romance when I should be cleaning, doing dishes, laundry, etc… I sometimes find it very hard to write or scrapbook cause all I want to do is immerse myself in a book.

I so loved Beauty and the Beast as well! Every week my mom and I would watch it when I was a kid. It was my favorite show.

Um, I think I might be the only one on here that isn’t afraid of snakes. Comes from having an ex who wanted them as pets.
    we had three.
7 Brides for 7 Brothers! love!

    4. I, too, love musicals. My grown children can sing all the songs from “The Sound of Music” (though they won’t admit it). I can’t quote from my favorites, but I know all the songs. Another favorite is “West Side Story”
    5. I love to watch the British comedies, Hyacinth in “Keeping up Appearances”is hilarious and “the Vicar of Dibley”
    6. I can and will eat a can of Pringles *all by myself*

And I promise not to tell a single soul what I have learned here today!!!

Heidi and Spencer have very little competition save for Brittany and Adnan

  122. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:31 pm #

OMG! I forgot about MY BIG FAT REDNECK WEDDING!!!!!!!! Talk about scary.

  123. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:32 pm #

Celebrity Rehab??? What the heck is that? I haven’t heard of it yet. Tell me more, Rachel!

Total confession here; when DH and I did magazines at Wal-mart I used to grab one of each of the rags, hide in the aisle while DH worked and read up on the celeb gossip. Sadly, that’s the only thing I miss about that job. *g*

  124. colinfirthfan on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:34 pm #

ct009ct - I didn’t like Conan but I loved the Terminator movies. I have to stick by my Governor!!

I also LOOOOOVE “Keeping up Appearances”. Ilove Hycaniths brother-in-law the best! :)

  125. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:34 pm #

Man, are all these good shows on cable? Is that why I don’t know them?

CT–no worries. I don’t do much reality TV other than American Idol. Much watch Idol. David Aurcherto (SP?) is sure to win this season.

My kiddo has Monty Python and the Holy Grail but I haven’t watched yet. Should I?

  126. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:35 pm #

Kim - I don’t have Showtime (thought it was HBO lol oops) either, but I have been downloading episodes from the internet and watching them. The first episode I watched was the one where he goes to his ex-wife’s house for dinner to be set up on a blind date. Hilarity of course ensued.

I am beginning to think that the whole lot of us were separated at birth. It is wonderful to be part of a group with so many like minded women. You ladies are a treat to be around although, with my PMP problem, dangerous all the same!

  127. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:36 pm #

LOL Rachel!! I forgot about that one too!! I was hooked after I saw one where the bride ordered her wedding dress in a box and said to the maid of honor “Look, its even got a pocket for my smokes.” HAHAHAHAHA

  128. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:37 pm #

Um…we’ve all forgotten something very important.

    Two words.

    AB FAB

  129. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:38 pm #

    Toe Pick! KariE, lol!

    Kim, I LOVE Veronica Mars!!
And a Monty Python watch is a must!

  130. ct009ct on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:39 pm #

Kim, You would fit right in with my family, not a day goes by without the topic of farting or pooping coming up. And it’s not just the guys.
Also, the Jimmy Kimmel video is hilarious - can’t wait to share with my husband and kids (they are all way over 21)

  131. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:40 pm #

Sniky–It could be HBO. I dunno for sure. We saw the episode that opens with him dreaming he’s at a church and the nun offers him some relief. LOL He says something like “You’re offering?” and she says “Well it isn’t going to @low itself.” bahaha

Where can you download it? Is it like ABC where you can watch the episodes online? Or is it one of those illegal things?

  132. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:40 pm #

    AB FAB! completely forgot!!!

I watch the Vicar of Dibley too - Dawn French rocks! even all in repeats, I catch them on a Saturday night on PBS

  133. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:42 pm #

CT–My DH was totally offended by the JK video but I did show it to my 16 yo son who was horrified but couldn’t look away.

Kathy–did you see the trailer for the would have been 4th season? It was Veronica’s first year with the FBI. I’m still so sad its not going to happen.

  134. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:49 pm #

Kim - You can get them here, and its perfectly legal, its 2 bucks an episode, but you can save them to disc if you have a dvd burner on your computer. Happy watching :)

  135. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:51 pm #

    Sniky,
LOL. I did see that episode and the one where the bride ordered a size 22 wedding dress off ebay and got a size 12 instead.

Did you see the Red Neck Wedding where the groom went hunting for wild pig meat to eat at the reception? Lord, when the groom’s mom saw the dead pig and started squealing, I was so afraid. I’d heard there were people like that in the world, but didn’t want to believe it.

    rg

  136. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:52 pm #

    What is AB FAB???

  137. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 2:56 pm #

LOL I missed that one Rachel! Sadly those people not only exist, but I share my gene pool with them! Family Reunions on my dad’s side inevitably involve a pig on a spit…its terrifying.

Kari - AB FAB is Absolutely Fabulous. Its a british comedy about two best friends who are drunk ALL the time and have fabulous adventures! I cannot believe we have made it this long without me forcing you through several episodes. I will rectify the situation ASAP!

  138. Marie on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:05 pm #

It is a sin to miss the American Idol you just switch over whenever anyone but Barack is speaking. I don’t want Clinton anywhere near the white house. She already had 8 years. Maybe if she divorced Bill we could have him back. *Goes away wishfully thinking of Bill back in office* *Sigh*

  139. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:09 pm #

Fear not, dear Sniky, for I have hear of ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I’ve never heard of it refered to as AB FAB. :P

(This cold has not done me well with my thinker.)

  140. Suzanne Enoch on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:15 pm #

OMG. Kevin Smith (also a HUGE Star Wars geek), check. Monty Python, check. Stargate, check. The A-Team, check (I once submitted a script to them). And mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I could eat them by the bag. Aaahhh. I’m drooling right now.

  141. claudia dain on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:15 pm #

I love British comedy shows. AB FAB is right up there. The original The Office. Dear neighbor Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced ‘bouquet’, for you slobs out there). I’m a sucker for British humor. What is about the Brits that makes them so witty? I watch Jay Leno every night and every time there’s a guest from anywhere in Britain, you know it’s going to be an entertaining interview. Every other country can produce a dud, but not Britain.

Princess Bride has been supplanted by Stardust as my favorite fairy tale movie. Love, love, LOVE Stardust. Don’t tell anyone since Princess Bride is supposed to be the movie of choice in this category.

  142. cail on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:18 pm #

what channel is Redneck Wedding on… that sounds EXTREMELY entertaining.

Colinfirthfan, Onslow is the best. I love Daisy, too.

Cail -Its on CMT. Enjoy :)

  146. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:28 pm #

LOL no worries Kari. I am in the same boat. I looked down at my desk earlier and was like…um who put this huge pile of checks here. (It was me, but still I have NO recollection of actually doing it)

  147. Paula on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:32 pm #

When I looked this morning before I went to work there were only about 5 comments, look what has happened whilst I’ve been at work!!!
If you promise not to tell my secrets are are
    1. like ct009ct I can, and when feeling blue do, eat a whole tube of pringles ( well once you pop you just can’t stop!!)
    2. I am addicted to Cadbury’s whole nut chocolate! ( for those who don’t know it is milk chocolate with whole hazlenuts in it)
    3. Pierce Brosnan is the man for me. As James Bond I think he was superb!!
mind you Sean Connery was alright too.
    4. I too would rather sit and read a book by one of the Goddessess than do the every day mundane household tasks. and quite often do!!

Meg over here in the Uk back before christmas there was a TV series that showed Ewan McGregor and his frien Charlie riding their motorbikes from John O’Groats down to Cape Town in S. Africa, the photography was stunning and so was Ewan!!

  148. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:43 pm #

Ab Fab is Absolutely Fabulous- a British show with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.
    hilarious!

Kim I watched that as soon as I got my dvd set from season three. giddy! it would have been such a good show if it was allowed to continue.
I got into it as a friend told me Joss Whedon had guested and it was his fav show.

Long Way Down was amazing, Paula. I have Long Way Round too. travel show geek with an added bonus of Charlie Boorman and Ewan MacGregor! yum!

  149. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:46 pm #

Oh, I totally heart Craig Ferguson. When he does the whip thing. LOL

Uh, Rachel, those people would be my neighbors. Ick. Yuck. I like fried pig enough just from the store. Not the farm.

True story. When my husband and I were dating; I went with him and his mom to the butcher shop way out in Amish country. She needed to pick up some “pork” for NYE. Uh, she bought two whole pigs HEADS! I freaked out and all I could say was “we have wilbur’s head in the trunk.” That was 20 years ago and I’m still scared.

Suzie–at the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Mark Hamill comes out. LOL. They do the whole light saber fight thing. Too funny.

  150. Kim on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:50 pm #

Kathy–ITA. Wishful thinking that somebody picks it up.

OMG, we’re totally going to hit 200 posts today. LOL.

All righty, Goddesses, I’m off to start supper. We’re having my fancy cheeseburgers. Don’t tell too many juicy secrets while I’m gone!

BTW, I totally missed the Gordon Ramsay thing. Last night was the big re-opening. I’m really wondering if they were able to get Regis Philbin to attend! They did interview Gordon on the local news. The interviewer said he was actually very nice and pleasant, not at all how he was portrayed on TV. She also said they were asked to not talk about the dishes or give away any secrets. The show should air sometime in Sept. Can’t wait!

  151. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:53 pm #

LOL Kim!! “Why do they call you “C**k-Knocker”?” WHACK!!!

  152. SuzyQ on 28 Feb 2008 at 3:57 pm #

Oh Kim, I was so hoping you could have gotten into the re-opening. BTW, can’t wait for the new episodes.

  153. cail on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:00 pm #

I don’t know if we get CMT up here. Is it a regional station? (or do I just not know my TV stations…)

You know what would be kinda cool… A goddess Blogs map, so we all knew where everyone sorta was in relation to the others. We have people all over the world.

  154. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:02 pm #

    what a good idea Cail!

  155. Freedom Writer on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:02 pm #

Kim, I am a big Veronica Mars fan. I hated to see it go off the air. I am glad to see Jason Dohring on Moonlight. Moonlight is a new obsession for me.

Has anyone watched the Graham Norton Show on BBC America? It’s on Saturday nights and if we aren’t home we tape it. The guy is crazy, and so is his audience.

  156. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:02 pm #

    cail-CMT is Country Music Television.
    The country version of MTV-ish
But CMT really does play videos.
    Sometimes.

  157. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:03 pm #

    what a good idea Cail!
I’m going over to the forum to figure it out

  158. Paula on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:14 pm #

Claudia I’d forgotton about dear old Hyacinth Bucket (or bouquet) I love that show and Ab Fab, vicar of Dibley. Have any of you seen the French and Saunders show? It is dawn French ( vicar of dibley) and Jennifer saunders ( Ab Fab)? that is a comedy sketch show and is a ROFL show!!

Cail I think that is a brillant idea , some of the shows that some of the goddessess talk about I haven’t heard of over here in old blighty!!

  159. Margaret Garland on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:21 pm #

    >>>I love British comedy shows. AB FAB is right up there. The original The Office. Dear neighbor Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced ‘bouquet’, for you slobs out there).

Hyacinth is a hoot, Claudia. I watch that show often. And the one where the couple met again after many years. His name was Lionel. Darn, I can’t think of the name and I love that show. Not on now.

Kari, I live in the heart of Amish country. When I first moved here, I went to the meat store one day and spied pig’s stomach sitting among the t-bones. Barf. They love that sort of thing around here. Pig’s feet? Oh yeah.

Just hand me a plate of tamales and keep on moving, thank you.

  160. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:23 pm #

The AB FAB talk makes me think of Mr. Bean.

    12. Mr. Bean fan.

  161. Kay on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:27 pm #

O!M!G! I LOOOOOOOVE AbFab. Dh tolerates it. I got it on video tape years ago and still watch it. I’m off to iTunes to see if I can find it there. The exhusbands are my favorite. :-)

BTW the actress who plays Saffy in AbFab plays Lydia in the REAL (Colin Firth) version of P&P. Did I mention I heart Mr. Darcy? *sigh*

  162. Kay on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:29 pm #

Margaret, it is AS TIMES GO BY. Judi Dench is amazing, but I am in love with the father, Rocky.

  165. Margaret Garland on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:32 pm #

I don’t think I’m going to hell in a handbasket for looking at this web site. It’s called “I Can Has Cheezburger?” and features mostly cats doing cute things and having even cuter comments. I even subscribed to the feed. I can’t put the URL here but it’s icanhascheezburger.com if you want to check it out and get good chuckle. Sometimes they are even ROTL funny.

Anyway, it’s on my daily list of things to look at on the Net. Along with my web cams all over the world, various knitters/quilters and, of course, The Goddess Blogs.

Claudia, I need you to come clean house for me. I really don’t have time.

  166. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:32 pm #

Anyone else see “Are you being served?” Another british comedy that I totally enjoy.

  167. Kay on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:39 pm #

Margaret, the LOL cats and Cheezburger cats are my no cal reward for getting things done.
    :-)

  168. Paula on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:43 pm #

SnikyWhite I am right up there with you on Mr Bean and also Are you being Served?. I can remember watching it first time round with my Dad. It is a classic show and so funny. Did you know John Imman(he played the gay shop assistant) died , I think it was last year?

  169. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:46 pm #

Paula - I didn’t know that. How terribly sad. He was fantastically funny. I used to watch both shows on PBS right after school when I was in high school. My little brother would get so mad at me because he wanted to watch cartoons.

  170. KariE on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:52 pm #

Don’t lie, Sniky. Tell ‘em what you were REALLY doing after school. LOL

  171. SnikyWhite on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:53 pm #

LOL Um this was before you turned me into a hoodlum Kari

  172. Karen Hawkins on 28 Feb 2008 at 4:56 pm #

Rachel, you should have called this Secrets of a Naughty Goddess . . . we seem to have so many! Lol!

I love Ab Fab, too, btw!

Ah, it’s so refreshing to be able to unload all of my secrets like this! Positively soul-lifting! If I had one, of course. Heh!

  173. Paula on 28 Feb 2008 at 5:01 pm #

Another secret is when i was a teenager i watched The Texas Chainsaw Masscare(horror film) I have never laughed so much as I thought it wasn’t so much scary as funny!!

  177. Kasey on 28 Feb 2008 at 5:31 pm #

my new guilty pleasure today is those jimmy kimmel vidoes that Kim posted. I have watched them a bunch just today. I still laugh everytime I watch it and the song is stuck in my head. Thanks for hours of enjoyment, Kim!

  178. Sabrina Jeffries on 28 Feb 2008 at 6:11 pm #

    1. I love The Nanny. Have seen every one, and have a few photos of Charles Shaughnessy on my PC.

    2. I wrote David Cassidy a fan letter in high school. I now pray that it got burned with all the others he supposedly burned.

    3. I’m in love with Jonty from Cash in the Attic on BBC. He is the sexiest antiques dealer I have ever seen! And Paul Hayes isn’t too bad either.

    4. I still listen to the Partridge Family and the Osmonds. How sad is that?

    5. I have no fashion sense. Thank God my friends do!!!

  179. FreshEChelle on 28 Feb 2008 at 6:28 pm #

Sabrina, let me support you. I proudly downloaded Bobby Sherman’s Easy Come, Easy Go when I first “went” iTunes. It’s a nice companion piece to the a cover version of the Patridge Family’s “I Think I Love You”.

  180. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 6:36 pm #

    Ahh, the David Cassidy.

“I think I love you, so what am I so afraid of. I’m afraid that I’m not sure of, a love there is no cure for. tI think I love you. Isn’t that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say
I’ve never felt this way. I don’t know what I’m up against. I don’t know what it’s all about. I got so much to think about.”

I used to love David like a hedonist loves cake.

  181. Kathy/Cookiedough on 28 Feb 2008 at 6:56 pm #

I still listen to the Osmonds.

When I was 17, the cutest guy in school came over to my house with my brother. I was unfortunately sitting with headphones on singing Long Haired Lover From Liverpool- badly since I couldn’t hear myself sing.
    Ahh memories.

David Cassidy singing WITH the Osmonds. who knew? I didn’t!

  183. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:16 pm #

I was in love with Donny. Ahhh. I still love to watch Mulan, just to hear Donny Osmond sing BE A MAN. I spent many an hour as a kid singing duets with Donny into that hairbrush handle.

Sabrina, I have no fashion sense either and I still don’t have anyone to dress me. I wear black, black, and black. Claudiaaaaaaaaaa, where are you?

Perhaps we could arrange a little shopping trip in SanFran???

  184. Karen Rose on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:19 pm #

Of course there was Shawn Cassidy. I had his poster from his Hey Deanie album on my wall, right next to Clark Brandon from the Fitzpatricks. Did anybody see that show? I lived for my weekly dose of Clark! Too bad the show was cancelled after something like one season.

I feigned illness a few times to get out of church on Sunday night so I could watch Parker Stevenson and Shawn Cassidy on the Hardy Boys. Oh my goodness.

    That’s a secret you probably shouldn’t tell…

  185. RachelG on 28 Feb 2008 at 7:21 pm #

Goodness. Last night I wrote this blog after a night of celebratory martinis. I guess I’ll have to drink and blog more often.

Matt Damon a tall midget? Huh? Okay, if that’s what your hubby says, Kim, that’s what he says. LOL. I’d still rather be f*cking him ;-)

I love Are You Being Served!

    “Mr. Humphreys, are you free?”

    *looks left*

    *looks right*

*there’s absolutely no one in the store*

    “Yes, Captain Peacock, I’m free!”

There aren’t quite enough comments on this entry…

I love Donny Osmond’s singing! I have Joseph on my ipod, and it’s one of my favorite musicals. I also really love the Partridge Family reruns. It’s fun stuff!
