Please join us in welcoming Connie Brockway to Mt. Oly!
Connie Brockway, Valkyrie of the Northern Valhalla (aka Minnesota) and therefore goddess of her own freaking place (ha! Julia London and ha! ha! Candice and Karen!) descended on the romance world in 1994 with the publication of PROMISE ME HEAVEN. After writing many, many wonderful historical romances, she turned her incisive…er, monitor (she doesn’t write long-handed or would have said “pen”) toward contemporary women’s issues. 2006 saw the publication of HOT DISH and just last week, SKINNY-DIPPING, to which Library Journal gave a starred review and calls:
“An exquisitely rendered setting, an abundance of complex family dynamics, a story that explores what it means to belong, and a beautifully developed romantic relationship guarantee the appeal of this well-crafted tale for both romance and women’s fiction fans alike.” When she is not feasting on whatever they feast on in Valhalla, Connie writes and putters around Asgaard.
