It’s a FROS salute!

The goddesses of Mt. Oly would like to dedicate this FROS (For Refreshment Only Sunday) to all of the policemen who’ve protected us, watched after us, and yes, made us slow down a bit and drive safer.

This FROS is also dedicated to all of the fantasy television and movie policemen, cops, and investigators who’ve made our heart go pitter-pat just a wee bit faster.

Like this one from days of yore:

This one from not too long ago:

This one from one of today’s hot new shows:

Oh, and of course, the hottest cop of all:

Ok, we were teasing about the last guy. We expect all of you to live by the Mt. Oly Motto: Never date a man who looks better in pantyhose than you do.

Happy Fros, m’dears!

I know I’m going to feel really stupid and out of the loop, but who is the third guy?

My favorite hot cop? Jack Lord, AKA Steve McGarrett, “Book ‘em, Dano.” Not so much toward the end of the series, but at the very beginning, very nice indeed, especially with his hair hanging over his forehead like that.

Honorable mention - Chris Noth, AKA Mike Logan from the first seasons of the original L&O.

And how can we forget Jack Webb, AKA Joe Friday, “Just the facts, ma’am.” (Just kidding on that one.)

(And I have to admit, I had a crush on Ponch and Jon from CHiPs back in the day. I’m very ashamed of that today.)

    I LOVE cop shows!!!

The third guy is George Eads from CSI Las Vegas. And no, you’re not out of the loop! There were so MANY current hottie cops that I was hard pressed to pick just one.

I had a huge crush on Ponch, too. I had a GREAT pic of Ponch and Jon but it was a bmp and I couldn’t post it because of the size. :(

Didn’t you just want to tickle Joe Friday, see if you could make him laugh? He was so unemotional!!! “Just the fact, ma’am,” indeed!

Thanks for the hot cops. I love cop show. I am currently in love with a the PI on Moonlight. Yummy

I’ve heard of that! My sister called me this week and told me to tivo it and be sure not to miss it.

Sounds like I’m going to have to set aside some time and do a little tv glom!!!

Karen - I like the third guy, I wish I knew how to download it, my girlfriend could use a good laugh, and this would surely do it for her.

BTW, I have been perusing your web site, nice link to the kilt guy standing in the wind!

You ladies have such a great sense of humor!

I just discovered if you right click while your curser is on the picture, you can email it to someone. I just sent it to my friend who will surely have a good laugh!

  7. Karen Hawkins on 04 Nov 2007 at 11:55 am #

Thanks, Lisa! I love the windy kilt link, myself. Not that I’ve spent hours on there, loading and reloading the video or anything . . . ahem!

Glad you could send the pic to your friend! :)

I LOVED the pictures - especially the last one! What a wonderful chuckle. That show is too too funny.

I love the PI from Moonlight also. Yummy

Thanks for the Nick (George Eads) pic. I love him!! I am also in love with Stabler (Christopher Meloni) from L&O: SVU. What a hottie. :-) I love it when the cable channels do their marathons so that I can get my Nick and Stabler fixes.

George Eades is HAWT! How about the guy who plays Eric on CSI: Miami and, to be fair, all the cops on CSI: New York. I’m just sayin’!

And how about the guys from ‘Adam 12′? Nice, vintage hotness!

  11. doglady on 04 Nov 2007 at 1:27 pm #

Great pictures and some great memories. I love Nick (George Eads) and the guy on Moonlight is definitely cute. I like that show. It is a lot better done than I thought it would be. I’m with you Meg. Christopher Meloni is hot too. The last one is just too funny for words! Reminds me of the time I told an opera director I refused to sing with a guy who was prettier than me and a bigger bitch than me!

I don’t know. I think, out of all of those, Officer Dangle just does it for me. There’s something about a guy with a sense of humor and a pair of hot pants. ;)

  13. Sherri Erwin on 04 Nov 2007 at 2:51 pm #

What, no Erik Estrada? (no, I’m kidding. Don Johnson is bad enough, ick!) How about Tony Shaloub as Monk, and did you know that the police chief in Monk was the creepy serial killer in Silence of the Lambs!? Shocking, I know.

  14. Karen Hawkins on 04 Nov 2007 at 3:43 pm #

Santa, I looked for a good Adam 12 pic but couldn’t find one that I liked. Those guys were awesome. Great minds think alike!

Sherri, i looove Monk! Should have thought of him, though I don’t know if he’s sexy or instead has that pathos thing happenin’. Either way, it’s a great show with terrific character development.

And Jessie, Officer Dangle does it for all of us, in one way or another. Heh!

Where’s Horatio?! Lol. next Friday we have to have soldiers. Like those yummy men on The Unit!

I remember all the girls were atwitter for Randolph Mantooth in Emergency when I was a kid. I think his partner- Adam Tighe?- was on Adam-12 for a while, but I’m not sure. I did see him as a bad guy in a movie recently and I think Randolph Mantooth went back to soaps.

Monk isn’t really sexy, but I love how he’s so attached to his deceased wife. That kind of devotion is sexy. Or also maybe a little creepy.

  17. Lisa H on 04 Nov 2007 at 6:15 pm #

I LOVE Monk!!! I totally agree about the whole devotion to his late wife. He is such a flawed yet brave hero. I love that show.

Yes, I know the captain was the killer in Silence of the Lambs. I couldn’t believe it. Before I knew that, I kindof thought he was handsome, now I’m a little scared of him!

  18. TinaLouiseF on 04 Nov 2007 at 9:22 pm #

We don’t have cops that look this good in my part of Montana.

  19. Karen Hawkins on 04 Nov 2007 at 9:34 pm #

There’s nothing sexier than a man who knows how to love someone and mean it. Monk is a great example of that. And it’s also why I dote on Hugh Jackman — he always speaks so well about his wife and just seems to admire her. I find that SO sexy!

TinaL, maybe you should migrate to a more promising area. I think Lt. Dangle is in Nevada . . .

love monk, stabler, hunter, the equalizer

  21. Mia Rose on 07 Nov 2007 at 10:07 am #

I love all the CSI’s because honestly, they were smart enough to add a ‘token-hott-guy’ to each show. Not only is George Eads incredibly hott (if I knew how I’d post a picture of him without a shirt on…words escape me) but they also have the guy who plays Eric on CSI: Miami and then the guy with great eyes who plays Don on CSI: NY. It’s fantastic… and last night there was a CSI marathon on of all 3, needless to say I didn’t go to bed early last night.

  22. Laura on 16 Nov 2007 at 6:29 pm #

heh, wish I could purge all the trivia from my brain cause the important stuff keeps oozing out. Randolph Mantooth’s partner on Emergency was Kevin Tighe.
