Hear Ye, Hear Ye

goddesses.jpgAs you fellow goddesses know, we began The Goddess Blogs this past February. Selecting a topic each day and discussing it is great fun – but we here on Olympus have been chatting amongst ourselves on a daily basis, and we thought we’d like to include the rest of the goddesses in the fun.

So, as of today, we’re opening The Forum. It’s a way we can be even more interactive, and broaden our conversations. We can discuss the books we write, the books we like to read, the best chocolate cake recipes ever, and just how studly Hugh Jackman really is.peanuts-gang.jpg

The daily blog will continue, so please don’t forget to read about and comment on the main topic of the day. But all we goddesses have a great deal to say, and if you have a specific question, comment, or observation that doesn’t necessarily fit the blog, you – and we – will now have a place to put it.

Visit The Forum and bookmark it so you can visit often! You’ll also find it on the announcement above.

women.jpgYou will have to register in order to post, even if you’ve already registered for the blog, so we can keep out evil ungoddesslike spammers. But do come in; otherwise we’ll just get cold, standing outside on the windy Mount by ourselves in only our togas, waiting for our fellow goddesses to arrive. And you do not want to see Rachel Gibson’s legs right now.

    Yes, even if you’re registered here at the blog, where registration is optional, you must ALSO register at the forum, where registration is NOT option. Thus, you will have to register again.

    Sorry we had to put required registration, but we want to be proactive in fighting the Evil Spammers. We all get enough Viagra commercials in our junkmail accounts!

    CookieD, what you need is a job where you can ALSO read the forum. Visualize yourself ‘working’ and reading tgb AT THE SAME TIME!

    Yup, Kay, this is where we can take the tangents, discuss life in general, and also where you all can discuss all of the many, many books you guys read, Goddess books or not.

    Hi Goddesses,

    I registered, but do not know how to reply to a topic. I read the directions under help but alas, I am direction following challenged! Can someone help me?

    Also, how do you put a picture near your name? I would love to see what everyone looks like!

    I love this idea, thank you all for coming up with it. I think we should give Ellen her own topic area so she can entertain us all!

    I was opting for an additional topic header for The Forum. “Gladiators”. But for some reason that reminded me of the line from the movie “Airplane” where the pilot asks the boy visiting the cockpit — “Do you like Gladiator movies, Tommy?”

    And Karen, Right now I’m working on making myself a job, other than personal chef-ing. making keepsake videos much like the one I made for my brother, scanning slides that people have relegated to their attic or basements, saving them to dvd as a slideshow or funny video. I did it for Christmas presents for family one year-going through over 600 slides wasn’t quick or easy!

    ah cookiedough…welcome to my world. Apparently slides were all the rage when I was very little. So my childhood is missing several years because who the hell has a slide projector?? But we’ve got the slides, LOL!

    oh gosh. this forum is tres hard. if only it was more like our blogging here… clearly it shows off my limited aray of computing skills to their best advantage..whereas the forum *glares at forum* is purely there to taunt me with all its funny buttons and is a tool to mentally degrade me… FIE ON YOU FORUM!… though i must say.it is quite the fun at times.
