It’s For Refreshment Only Sunday! (FRO Sunday!)

I like a man with a really big gun.

I also like a man who knows how to turn ‘business casual’ into ‘business sexy.’

And then, there’s that man who has both a big gun . . . and Big Guns!

Fellow goddesses, welcome to the World of Daniel Craig! Shoot me, baby!

I’m digging the fact that he’s yummy … AND looks like a real guy. His ears are a bit large, and he’s not a bit ‘pretty,’ but wow, he packs a punch in the he-man, sexy department!

  5. Judy F on 02 Sep 2007 at 8:26 am #

He is hot. Still haven’t seen him in a movie yet but this will do…Thanks

  6. doglady on 02 Sep 2007 at 10:05 am #

Look at those eyes!! Look at those guns!! Look at those abs!! Oh my goodness!! Makes you want to go out and commit an act of international intrigue, just so they’ll send him after you, doesn’t it??

  7. Suzanne Enoch on 02 Sep 2007 at 11:22 am #

Do you remember the first “Tomb Raider” movie? He played Alex West, the American tomb raider and former flame of Lara Croft.

I just can’t get over those eyes. MMMMMMMmmmmmm.

  8. darkshire007 on 02 Sep 2007 at 11:41 am #

Finally, Daniel Craig! I’ll be on here for a while just drooling…I mean looking at Daniel. Is he single? Like I would have a chance, and I’m married {sigh}, but good golly a woman can dream. Did you notice he’s hot? I mean really, really hot? And those bedroom eyes? And the little quirk smile? Hot! Hot!

  9. Karen Hawkins on 02 Sep 2007 at 1:12 pm #

Suzanne, I didnt realize that was Daniel in Tomb Raider! Wow. I need to watch that.

And oh yes, I could commit An Act (of international intrigue) to capture his attention! Or two!

  10. Judy F on 02 Sep 2007 at 1:37 pm #

I read somewhere that he is engaged but don’t know if that is true.

  11. dbrown3400 on 02 Sep 2007 at 5:13 pm #

Have you ever noticed how good every single Bond actor, except that one I can’t remember, looks fantastic in a tux? . . . or out . . .?

  12. doglady on 02 Sep 2007 at 5:15 pm #

See, now I KNEW our Karen Hawkins could be counted on to go out and commit mayhem to meet someone this hot!! Girls, lets gather up the bail money so she can go out and try. Then again, if he foils her dastardly plot she may not want to be bailed out at all!!! How does a sentence of two or three weeks alone on a yacht with our boy Daniel sound to our own Mata Hari????

  13. darkshire007 on 02 Sep 2007 at 7:47 pm #

Wait, if Karen is going to commit some kind of international intrigue she needs a sidekick. I’ll volunteer. She may need me to tackle him or something to distract him so she, I mean we, can get away!

  14. Karen Hawkins on 02 Sep 2007 at 7:58 pm #

dbrown, yes. They all look marvelous in their tuxs. Makes me want to trick out my guy in tux just to see what happens.

Darkshire, you can be my Stalker Woman sidekick any day of the week. So long as we have Comish Doglady to bail us out of jail, we’ll raise enough bedlam to cause any NUMBER of international ‘incidents!’

  15. Karen Rose on 02 Sep 2007 at 9:06 pm #

He does have a big gun, but there’s only one Bond for me - Sean Connery.

Karen, what will be your codename in your new career of International Troublemaker? Just don’t make it P-Galore. I can’t even bring myself to type it! I mean, yeah, he was Bond and everything, but how hard would it be to make time with a gal who calls herself P-Galore?

I hear this new Bond is closer to the books. But Oh, Sean, why did you have to grow old?!?

Donna, the Bond that most people forget is George Lazenby in “On (or In?)Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” He’s not as dashing as the other Bonds, but as plots go, that one is my favorite. Poor George, losing his life love at the end. Poor Diana Rigg, shot up like Swiss cheese. Evil Blofeld…Grr.

But back to Daniel. I hate to be the lone woman out, but he does nothing for me. Maybe it’s the Alfalfa cowlick in the beach pic…

  16. Karen Rose on 02 Sep 2007 at 9:08 pm #

Daniel does have nice pecs, though :-) And he fills out his tux quite nicely. There, now I don’t feel so bad, LOL

  17. ArkansasCyndi on 02 Sep 2007 at 10:15 pm #

I didn’t think I could ever accept Daniel Craig as Bond, but, I WAS WRONG.

Thanks for getting my heart racing!

  18. doglady on 02 Sep 2007 at 10:33 pm #

Karen and Darkshire, if you two are going out to accomplish this mission, I guess that makes me M ! I can live with that. What woman wouldn’t want to have all those male agents at her beck and call!! Go get him, girls!! Oh and for Karen Rose’s sake, fix the hair!! I had to laugh at the Alfalfa comment, Karen R.! Then again, my criteria for a hot man has never been how well he fills out his tux, but how good he looks out of it!!

  19. gannon on 02 Sep 2007 at 11:57 pm #

Karen Rose, I agree with you. Sean Connery will always be the ultimate James Bond. I just love that man, even though he grew old. Daniel Craig does fill our a tux nicely….and those swim trunks, too.;)

I was a HUGE Sean Connery fan until someone showed me a clip of him in a Barbara Walters interview where she asked him about where he’d said in a Playboy Interview that it was ok to hit a woman. He responded in that sexy Scottish burr, “Some women need a slap to keep them in line.” I lost respect for him right there and never looked back.

And THEN, when he was in his 60s, he was running around with a hairdresser who was in her 20s. Oh yes, he’s fallen FAR off the Karen Wants It List. I try not to find out too much about the sexy men on tv/movies/etc, because I just can’t stand the heartache, but oh, that one made me MAD!

  21. darkshire007 on 03 Sep 2007 at 11:28 am #

I can’t even type after reading that about Sean Connery thinking it’s okay to hit a women! He’d only hit me once….then he would eventually have to sleep. My dad grew up in New Iberia around the bayou. You learn a lot about how people disappear down there. I think he’d have to disappear too.

  22. Karen Hawkins on 03 Sep 2007 at 8:25 pm #

darkshire, I was disappointed, too. The truth is, though, guys like that aren’t worth the effort to make them ‘disappear.’ :) Best thing you can do is Live Well. That’ll show ‘em all!

It’s sad when you find out The Truth about a fictional hero. Sometimes I just wish they’d stay fictional!

  23. zambonigirl on 03 Sep 2007 at 11:05 pm #

He does absolutely nothing for me.

    *googles Christian Bale*

    *sigh*

  24. Karen Hawkins on 04 Sep 2007 at 7:46 am #

Lol! Christian Bale … mmmmm! He’s quite a hunk, too. Isn’t he coming out in a movie with Russel Crowe this week? Or did I just dream that?

It may have been a dream.

  25. MJ on 04 Sep 2007 at 7:36 pm #

Thanks once again, Karen. Eye candy is just what the doctor ordered….. (interesting eyes, eh? And YES I was looking at the eyes. Eventually.)

  26. zambonigirl on 04 Sep 2007 at 8:17 pm #

3:10 to Yuma, Karen! I’m so there! Who’s with me?

  27. Karen Hawkins on 05 Sep 2007 at 8:52 am #

I’m going! I’m going! I have been drooling over the trailers all week and my, it looks DELISH!

What IS it about cowboys? Yum. Just Y-U-M.
