What’s Your Sign, Baby?

astro_signs.gif
I am a believer in astrology to a certain extent. Not the daily horoscopes (unless it tells me something good, like on the day American Diva is released, it says I am going to experience a surge in business that I’ve only dreamed about, and then I’m all over it), but the characteristics of the signs.

I have noticed over the years that there are too many characteristics people share with their zodiac for there not to be something to it. For example, I am a Pisces, and Pisces are notorious for swimming in the opposite direction to avoid confrontation, which I so do. Pisces also can be gullible (check), easily seduced (check), spaced out (check) and absent-minded (check).

astro-julia.jpg

But that’s okay, because everyone also knows that Pisces are also multi-talented, easy going, and ultra popular (check, check and double check). In fact, a hairdresser once told me that Pisces are the most evolved of all the signs because they come at the end of the zodiac. As I am a Pisces, I believed him. I even went so far to suggest that as my birthday comes near the end of the Pisces sign, I must be uber-evolved. crowdpleaser.jpg I hadn’t tipped him yet, so he didn’t argue.

The other thing astrology is that birds of a feather tend to flock together. That’s certainly true for me. The majority of my good friends are water signs (Scorpio and Cancer). And I have been married twice, both times to Cancers, and both times to major procrastinators, which is so true of those silly crabs.

So now I am curious about the astrology of this group. What’s your sign, baby? And do you tend to stick with people of your own ilk, or do you venture all over the astrological zone? What are some of the characteristics of your sign that fit you to a tee?

I am a Capricorn. I know that I am a bit stubborn and believe that when a Capricorn has a goal nothing will stop it until it is completed. No matter how high the mountain and if there are avalanches a Capricorn will plow along until it reaches the top of the mountain.

I am a mathematical and analytical person(worked in International Finance for over 27 years), very observant, organized in an disorganized way and curious about just about anything. Capricorn is the sign of Justice and I do believe in it sort of righting a wrong or rooting for an underdog.

I enjoy being around all kinds of people…opposites attract.

I just had to look up Libra. I know I’m supposed to love beauty and be well-balanced. Ha. But I mostly agree with these traits, especially the romantic and charming part!
Diplomatic and urbane, romantic and charming, easygoing and sociable, idealistic and peaceable
On the dark side….Indecisive and changeable, gullible and easily infuenced,
    flirtatious and self-indulgent.

I’m a gemini. I have the worst time finishing anything I start. I have a lot of the gemini characteristics. I married a Taurus. BAD idea! lol Most of the friends I’ve had over the years, the really good ones, have been Aquarius’. My very most best friend at this point in life is Pisces. My boyfriend is Capricorn. So, this is the most varied company I’ve kept in ages, and I’m quite happy. I used to keep up with the different traits of the signs, don’t anymore.

I am a Pisces. I can also check all the things you mentioned above. I so put things off and avoid arguments like the plague. I love the water and if I could take an all day shower I would. LOL I am so a dreamer, can just sit and stare and think of things forever.

I will have to see what signs my friends are. I think they are pretty all over the place.

  5. J Perry Stone on 30 Jul 2007 at 7:25 am #

I’m a Leo on the outside and something else internally.

Outside, I’m gregarious, love to shock and don’t have a mental sieve that sifts an iffy thought on its way out of my mouth. Also, I struggle to battle Leo pride; I just don’t think it will ever make me happier.

On the other hand, I’m actually shy, I panic in large crowds, I am a hermit, but I behave Leoish to overcompensate for whatever else I am internally.

Leos are some of my best friends, but I can’t date them. I tried once and thought I might have to gouge his eyeballs out … course, that coulda just been him. I’m now married to a Cancer.

Hey, Karen H is a Leo … and has a birthday coming up in the next week or so.

I’m a Virgo and my late husband was a Virgo. People were always amazed we didn’t kill each other but we meshed amazingly well. I think its because the Virgo traits were never a good fit (on me) but they fit him to perfection.

Modest and shy: I’m somewhat modest but not at all shy, though I was in my younger years.
Meticulous and reliable: reliable, yes but not meticulous
Practical and diligent: practical but not all that diligent
    Intelligent and analytical: I’m intelligent

    Fussy and a worrier: Nope
    Overcritical and harsh: Nope
    Perfectionist and conservative: Somewhat conservative

  7. Nicole Jordan on 30 Jul 2007 at 8:45 am #

I’m a Scorpio married to a Cancer — and we both seem to fit our signs.

Also, I like to use a Zodiac chart to help me flesh out my characters. That way I tend to get more variety in their behavior and characteristics. But because I’m the creator, I get to deviate from the strict descriptions. For instance, Scorpios are supposed to be vindictive but for a heroine, I would make her sweeter *G*.

  8. Julia London on 30 Jul 2007 at 8:50 am #

Elsie, my niece is a Capricorn, and that describes her perfectly–she will not stop until she has achieved her goals, and achieved them better than anyone else.

Judy, we could be pals. But J Perry Stone…I just did a compatibility report to see if Karen H. and I could ever be married. The result was “not a match made in heaven.” Sorry. :-)

  9. Sabrina Jeffries on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:06 am #

Julia, that means you and I could never marry. :( I too am a Leo (anybody surprised by that?). J. Perry, maybe the Leo sign includes a lack of a TMI gene? :-)

Seriously, though, when I listen to the signs, I always find something under each one that fits me, so I have trouble believing in the whole astrology thing. But I will admit that I do fit a lot of the Leo characteristics.

  10. Keri Ford on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:15 am #

Pisces here too and everything you listed I checked off too, except on occassion, I don’t go with the flow if I’ve got my mind set opposite of everybody else. I’ll confront anybody to get my way.

i don’t keep up with the signs. I used to read the horiscopes in the paper, but I quit seeing the paper everyday to do that anymore.

  11. J Perry Stone on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:16 am #

Julia, where do you go to do the compatibility tests because I need yet another fun thing to do instead of laundry?

Sabrina, I totally don’t have the TMI gene … and I think that makes us charming (to ourselves?).

  12. Karen Hawkins on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:25 am #

Julia, I’m calling off the wedding. Sorry, but Pisces and Leo aren’t compatible. Sooooorrrrry!

And J Perry is right… my birthday is on August 3rd, this Friday!!!! Please feel free to send cards, letters, prezzies, pictures, jewelry, books, socks, or old magazines to Karen Hawkins, 2511 E Colonial Dr, #146, Orlando. FL, 32803.

I’m not proud and I like prezzies. I was MADE to get prezzies. I am Leo, so hear me ROARRRR(cough, cough, cough!)

Ahem. Anyway, I think I tend to hang out with people with different signs as I like variety. People are SO interesting and I like most of ‘em, so hellllo Scorpios! Piscesi! Aquariases! Genies! Wizards! And Hogwarthians!

  13. Ellen on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:32 am #

I am Pisces through and through.
I tend to always look both ways when making decisions and most of the time, I don’t know if I am coming or going. Until this blog, I never considered the men and women I hang with. Are they water, air or earth signs? You tell me. I don’t have a clue.
I plugged my son and husband’s birthday into the chart and guess what? They are both Libras. I laughed a bit when I saw the sign for Libra…The scales of justice. My husband is a lawyer.

  14. ladydawgfan on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:33 am #

I am a Leo (my birthday was two days ago, and I’m still accepting birthday wishes . . . or whatever else might be sent my way ;) ). When I looked up the profile, I was surprised at how close it was to my actual personality with the exception of only a few things. It’s kinda strange how that works.

BTW, happy early birthday, Karen H from a sister Leo.

  15. Julia London on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:44 am #

J Perry, I plugged astrological compatibility into google and chose one of the sites they offered. easy peasy!

  16. PJ on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:51 am #

Happy Birthday, Ladydawgfan! Hope you had a wonderful celebration!

  17. PJ on 30 Jul 2007 at 9:58 am #

Happy Birthday, Karen! Gosh, what a shame your birthday is in the summer. If it was winter I’d send you some of my homemade chocolates for your special day. Of course, now that I have your address I suppose I could just pop in when I’m down that way visiting my family. (grinning in my very best, totally innocent, non-stalkerish way)

My niece, a fellow Floridian, shares your birthday. Actually, I’m surrounded by a family of Leo’s. Maybe that’s why I don’t act much like a Virgo, although I found a Virgo description at Ladydawgfan’s link that I could happily embrace.

“Venus, your co-ruler adds sensuality to your character. You will always remain young and pleasure seeking. Growing old gracefully doesn’t appeal to you. Life is to be lived to the fullest.”

  18. BethanyHamilton on 30 Jul 2007 at 10:09 am #

I don’t really put much stock into astrology. I can look under any sign and find several characteristics that describe me. I’m Scorpio (right dead in the middle, not even cusp) but most people who try to guess my sign guess either Pisces or Aries - not once has anyone guess scorpio. I think it’s just fun to read :D

  19. Caren Crane on 30 Jul 2007 at 10:43 am #

Well, we’re only talking about sun signs and some people bear little resemblance to their sun signs because of all the other, varied aspects they have. I’m no expert, but I read a lot. *g*

I’m a Taurus and we, in general, tend to read a lot. *g* We are known most for obstinance, but that only applies to home, family and things we are passionate about (and it’s a short list). We tend to love good food, good company, beautiful things, comfortable surroundings and, er, earthy pursuits. We are hardworking and responsible. We like rules, but only if they make sense. We hate goal-setting (I do anyway).

My Capricorn husband is the orneriest person in the universe (beside all the other Caps I know, that is). All the “driven” applies not only to the good things, but also to the ideas they glom onto, whether they are valid or not. Hard to take at times. But we are both risk-averse, careful with money, moderate in our spending and hard workers. It works for us, but there are fireworks!

  20. zambonigirl on 30 Jul 2007 at 10:58 am #

I’m The Year Of The Snake. One of my Vietnamese co-irkers figured this out for me. He then asked me if I was the youngest in my family. When I said yes, he nodded and commented that Snakes are usually either the youngest or an only child, and that we’re spoiled and like people to take care of us.

I don’t think I’d get along well with other Snakes, just because of that. Plus, aren’t Snakes a bit cannibalistic? It’s been a while since I’ve watched the Discovery Channel, but it seems like something is triggering this…

My astrological sign is the Libra, but I honestly don’t know what it means. I like to read…

No, I don’t put anything into that stuff. It’s diverting at a party, but you’re in charge of your life, not the stars.

  21. Susan K on 30 Jul 2007 at 11:46 am #

I’m a gemini but that’s all I know. I’ve never been into that kind of stuff.

On the placemats at my favorite Chineese restaurant I know I’m the Year Of the Snake. It’s been a while since I’ve been there though so I don’t remember what it means.

  22. RachelG on 30 Jul 2007 at 12:23 pm #

I’m a Virgo and am nothing like a Virgo is supposed to be, except maybe stubborn. Don’t really know what my friend’s signs are. Mr. G is a cancer, but I’m not sure what the characteristics for a cancer are either. Can you tell I’m not a real believer? Kind of like getting my palm read. Interesting, but I’m not sure there is anything to it.

  23. Julia London on 30 Jul 2007 at 12:28 pm #

I was born in the Year of the Pig. I was so bummed that I never looked into it. Couldn’t it be a dog or something cute like a koala bear?

How funny, tho, that I collect artsy-fartsy pigs.

  24. Susan K on 30 Jul 2007 at 12:40 pm #

I have a quick question for the goddesses. I am finally attempting to write my first novel. I’ve been wanting to do it for years and now that I’ve turned 30 I figure it’s time to get off my butt and accomplish it. I’ve joined the Romance Writers of America as suggested my numerous goddesses. My question is whether or not some of you create outlines of your books before starting? I’m having trouble organizing my thoughts and wondered if you guys have any suggestions.

  25. zambonigirl on 30 Jul 2007 at 12:48 pm #

So, Susan K, do you fit the description that my co-irker gave me of Snakes? Are you either the youngest or an only child? Do you like to be taken care of? Are you suddenly overcome with the urge to go cannibalistic on my hiney? I’m still not sure if I was insulted by him…

I’m no author, but I do know that I like to outline what I’m about to write, if it’s going to be long.

  26. Marva on 30 Jul 2007 at 12:52 pm #

I’m an Aries who is Year of the Dragon. The DH is Aquarious/Pisces cusp, DS1 is a true Leo and DS2 is Libra. I don’t think I’m supposed to get along with any of them. (And my Leo roars at me often.) I’m not sure how much I believe - I’m not very fiery. But it’s fun at parties.

  27. Susan K on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:04 pm #

Zambonigirl, I am not the youngest but the oldest and I am not an only child. BUT I grew up as an only child. My parents divorced when I was 8 and my younger brother was 6. My mom moved us to Ohio and then after a couple of years my brother went to live with my father cause my mom couldn’t control him. As for being a snake…I was actually grossed out. I am TERRIFIED of snakes and was not at all happy to discover I was born in the Year of the Snake. Ugh! Why couldn’t it have been the rabbit or the dog?

  28. terrio on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:10 pm #

I’m a capricorn and it pretty much fits me. I was married to a gemini and that so did not work. Dated a Cancer and that was great but would have been better if he’d gotten a job. LOL! I’m dating a Leo now and I’m liking it so keeping my fingers crossed.

I don’t follow the horoscopes everyday but I also think there is too much coincidence for there not to be something to it. And I think knowing something about a person’s sign makes it easier to understand them. My daughter is a Cancer which makes it easier to understand why she’s so sensitive. Especially when I’m not.

  29. cail on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:19 pm #

i’m cancer who more often than not ends up dating pisces.

however, i’m about as much of a procrastinator as a cat is a dog. not one iota.

  30. Ann in IL on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:28 pm #

I am a Libra. I’ve always been one to say “that’s not fair” and can see everyone’s point of view.

It’s kinda scary how these Zidoac signs work. I googled mine and found out more that I had before.

choice of color for Librans - Blue
Starstone - didn’t know there was such a thing - Sapphire. mmmm gonna have to add some of those to my collection.

    ruling planet - Venus

Likes the finer things in life - TRUE

Most empathetic of all the signs

    Most tolerable of beloved’s failings

Dislikes injustice, violence and being a slave to fashion.

    Yup….that’s me

  31. Ellen on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:34 pm #

Of more interest than the fact that I was born a Piscean Girl…I was born on Friday the 13th in the Year of the Pig.

It just explains sooooo much about me, don’t ya think?

    Oink Oink Gees
    Ellen
PS..Susan K…I keep a mental outline and just start writing. This allows my characters to show me their true destination without being tied down. To each her own is what I keep hearing at the RWA.

  32. dbrown3400 on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:43 pm #

I’m a Cancer and am more influenced by the phases of the moon than the water side of the sign. I’m also inclined to be a home body although I’m the oldest family member left. Everyone on all sides of the family is spread across the coutry making even a reunion difficult — no one to make those special casseroles for.

I’m a dog in the Chinese geneology and try to do a good job of keeping myself on a tight leash. Well, not too tight.

Congrats to the birthday girls. Need longer lists.

    Donna

  33. Ann in IL on 30 Jul 2007 at 1:48 pm #

Checked my Chinese sign. I’m a Dragon.
It says I’m passionate, my life is complex and I should marry “late in life”. Cryin’ out loud, I’m gonna be 55 this year. How much longer is “late in life”?? Don’t want to wait TOoooo much longer and miss out on all the fun stuff.!!

  34. gannon on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:29 pm #

I’m an Aries, but I don’t think many of the character traits apply to me. I suppose I can be courageous and dynamic, and impulsive as well.

I find that more Pisces and Libra traits describe me. I had my birth chart done and it has something to do with rising signs. I’m pretty sure Libra was dominant! I am empathetic and definitely enjoy the finer things in life.;)

My dh is a Virgo through and through, as is our eldest son. Our younger son is an Aquarius and our daughter is a Leo (totally!). Karen, my daughter’s birthday is Saturday, August 4!! You Leo girls sure can roar!!!! :)

  35. twolilhahas on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:43 pm #

On Gemini — “Like children they are lively, and happy, if circumstances are right for them, or egocentric, imaginative and restless. They take up new activities enthusiastically but lack application, constantly needing new interests, flitting from project to project as apparently purposelessly as a butterfly dancing from flower to flower.”

This is a very accurate description of me. lol I’m a beautiful butterfly! :)

I start to write a story, get the beginning down, and then find a new idea, a new story, new people…and start a new story. I have so many beginnings on this here hard drive of mine, and not even one ending. lol Not even one middle, either. It doesn’t take long for me to absolutely hate the characters in the beginnings and move on to brighter, funnier characters. I’m a fickle fictional character creator.

  36. twolilhahas on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:45 pm #

And I just loved this because it fits so well. “Changing horses in the middle of the stream is another small quirk in the Gemini personality which makes decision making, and sticking to a decision, particularly hard for them.”

I have the hardest time in the world making decisions. And once I commit to something, I’m suddenly feeling the ‘grass is greener’ pressure, and wish I had made the other choice.

I was born in the year of the monkey. Which I hate because I really dislike primates of any variety.

  37. twolilhahas on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:50 pm #

And I was totally wrong, my best friend is an Aries. lol So is my youngest daughter. And I have another daughter that is a Scorpio. As far as all the things I’ve read about Geminis go, they always say to stay far away from Scorpios. So, this should be an interesting arrangement. Luckily, blood is thicker than star charts.

  38. twolilhahas on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:56 pm #

And then I continued reading about Geminis, and discover it’s June’s fault, not my fault that I’m fickle. Can you write romance if you’re a Gemini? lol

“In love they are fickle, not intentionally so but because of the basic inconsistency of their emotional nature, which has an amoral aspect to it. Their is a side to Geminians which can become deeply involved emotionally, and another, hostile to sentimentality, which stands back from a romantic situation, laughing at it and the protagonists in it, including themselves while analyzing it intellectually.”

Of course, I must point out that the improper use of the word “their” when it should be “there” really makes me doubt the integrity of the author. Maybe I’m saved!

  39. Brandy on 30 Jul 2007 at 2:58 pm #

I’m a Virgo and reading the descriptions online, I’d say, um, yeah. I fit the descriptions. Especially the one that said I prefer to be anonymous. I know that I am an observer, no big deal there. The funny thing is, my hubs is a Virgo as well. He was born 2 years before, but 10 days after I was. *g* He epitomizes the OTHER side of virgo. This has been fun, THANKS!

  40. Julia London on 30 Jul 2007 at 3:03 pm #

Susan K, I write from a general outline, or I would never remember what I was writing. But I’ve written without an outline, too.

There are so many birthday girls this week! Happy Birthday all you Leo the Leaders! We fish are swimming behind you.

  41. J Perry Stone on 30 Jul 2007 at 3:19 pm #

Hey Gannon! Your daughter and I share a birthday.

And Julia, I did what you said and the site I clicked on said my dh and I were NOT a match … that’s how I know that particular site is a dud.

When I first started dating him, I went to a palm reader who said much the same thing. I walked out thinking, “Fake!”

My friend did a complete chart once with rising signs, sun signs, moon signs (street signs), and it said my dh and I were a perfect match.

So I guess that means that you and Karen/Sabrina could, in fact, be happily married.

  42. colinfirthfan on 30 Jul 2007 at 3:48 pm #

I am a Scorpio married to a Cancer and he is DEFINITELY a procrastinator. Got it down to a science.

Most of my friends were Pisces. My boss is a Scorpio as well. :-)

What are the characteristics of a Scorpio? The ones I do know - I am not jealous but I will hold a grudge. I am VERY loyal to my family and friends. I am also quite short tempered.

    What else?

  43. SuzyQ on 30 Jul 2007 at 3:51 pm #

twolilhahas, I too am a Gemini, through and through. I love to talk, love to entertain, but also get bored easily and get impatient when things move to slowly, which explains why I hate to stand in line. But remember, they don’t call us the Twins for nothing. I am generally a pretty easygoing person, but push my buttons just right and my evil twin rears its ugly head. Hey, at least we have an excuse to be schizophrenic – LOL!

Happy Birthday Karen H! My DH is a Leo too!

  44. Karen Hawkins on 30 Jul 2007 at 4:06 pm #

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I’m gonna blog about it later this week. :) I’m la Leo, so I gotta share!

My guy friend is a Virgo and oh so Virgo is he. Meanwhile, about half of the Leo aspects fit me. It seems as if it’s either all or part, but never nothing.

I think I’m a Rabbit, but I’m not sure. I need a Chinese calendar to make sure.

And Susan K, you’re going to get as many answers to the ‘to outline/or not to outline” question as there are authors out there. You gotta do what works for you. :)

  45. Judy on 30 Jul 2007 at 5:43 pm #

I’m a cancer. And as a cancer I have the characteristics of procrastinater, hard on the outside, soft on the inside, MOODY, and I am affected by the phases of the moon. I’m not motherly, and I would like to move and see the world. If I remember correctly they also say the cancers are the most compatible sign in the zodiac, in both friendship and love, and it’s also the hardest sign to pin down, because we are so our personalities are so different (I could be wrong, but as this is the truth for me, I’d have to say I agree). I’d say that’s about right, my two best friends are a Capicorn and an Aquarius and the rest of friends are all over the place. But I will say this, I get along with my brother, whose a Scorpio, more then I do my sister who’s a Virgo…

  46. Judy on 30 Jul 2007 at 5:46 pm #

OH! Happy Birthday Karen, may you have a very specialy birthday today!

  47. Judy on 30 Jul 2007 at 5:46 pm #

Oops, make that on Friday :D

  48. Sabrina Jeffries on 30 Jul 2007 at 7:18 pm #

Susan K, I know authors who can’t work from an outline at all, and authors like me who need a pretty firm idea of where they’re going. I don’t outline, but I write a 20-page synopsis which serves as an outline. I deviate from it in the individual events, but not in the larger picture. And I pretty much discover my characters as I write.

  49. MizMacgyver on 30 Jul 2007 at 7:23 pm #

I am an Aquarius, and at this point I seem to be the only one on the blog…..LOL I have been married (and divorced from) a Taurus, a Cancer, and another Aquarian (but he was on the cusp and should really have been a Capricorn I am sure). Supposedly I should get along with Libra, Gemini, and sometimes a Saggitarius. I was with a Saggi for 2 years and he was cheating the last 6 months (won’t be trying that again). I am seeing a Libra now and so far I haven’t had an (uncontrollable) urge to strangle him yet. I have had the urge, just not uncontrollable.
Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer, an air sign. You possess a quick intellect. You’re a rebel, but one who really needs people around. You have tons of friends, but you tend not to get too intimate with any one person.
Ruling planet is Uranus, the weirdest planet in the solar system. (I kid you not that is what it says)
I don’t think I sound like a warm and fuzzy type person but I swear I am friendly, really I am.

  50. MizMacgyver on 30 Jul 2007 at 7:25 pm #

Oh! and happy birthday Leos! My daughter is a Leo and heaven help me she fits the stereotype to a T. My son is a very gentle Pisces, who also fits to a T.

Kim, thanks for the birthday wishes for Morgan. I’ll pass them along. And yes, Raleigh-Durham is here in NC. :) Hope the gig goes well.

    I can’t believe your birthday is March 25th! Mine’s the 26th!!! Crazy, huh? :)

MizMacgyver, you have to judge everyone according to their own merits, but I will say this, I’ve seen Libras that will scare you silly! My dad and my mom’s parents are all Libras and they get crazy later in life. I’ve seen enough to know that I, though I try really hard to ignore the signs and their implications, will never ever go near a Libra with anything permanent on my mind! lol

I do believe that Geminis, such as myself, get along very well with Aquarians. Some of my most wonderful friends throughout life have been Aquarians. :)

    Happy Birthday Karen H.

I’m a Gemini, but as far as I can tell, don’t have many of the characteristics.

I think my best friend is a Pices? 2/13

Good morning~ I am a Leo also~7-25. On the cusp of Cancer with Libra rising. Supposedly your rising sign reflects your personality more as you get older. I look at all three horoscopes.
Have moody quiet Pisces friends. One dd is a Gemini to a tee. Never know what she is going to do or where she is. DS is a stubborn pigheaded Tauras. My pisces friends take two to three showers baths a day and do not think that is unusual. My best friend is an Aries and she will hunt you down if you do something she doesn’t like. You always know what she thinks and where she stands. Right on your face.

I’m a capricorn, and I fit all my signs. I’m a workaholic, I’m loyal, dependable, and ornery. Funny tho, my Mr is an Aries…mr flashy, it’s all about me, impulsive, fireworks man. He’s a car salesperson…go figure! God, I love him! He totally gets under my skin, pushes me outside of my comfort zone, and lets me know when i’m being a curmudgeon. For my part, I let him know when he is so far outside the box that all he’s hearing is white noise, give him his so much needed dose of reality, and go behind him and turn his impulsiveness from reckless to brilliant.
Aren’t we a great match? Well all that AND heathenish sex! :)

twolilhahas, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt but the older I get the harder it is for me to put up with stuff. My aunt was a Libra too and she was just a tad on the weird side LOL…After reading Kathy’s post maybe we better look at that rising sign thing, I sure hope mine isn’t Libra!

I am an Aquarius - I don’t think I saw any others when I was reading through, but I might have missed it. Traits for an aquarus are Friendly, honest, loyal, original, inventive, independent and intellectual. I think I fit most of those.

For my Chinese Astrology - I was born in the year of the monkey. Apparently monkeys are fun and loving people who are always cheerful and energetic (not sure about the energetic). They are very clever, talented, creative and generous. Most of those qualities fit too.

I think astrology is very interesting and enjoy reading my horoscopes even though they don’t usually come true.

By the look of it, I’m the only Sagittarian on this blog. And I, like most of you, seem to fit my sign. I love travel and adventure but like to blend in with my surroundings so as not to stand out too much. That’s why I only blog once or twice a week, even though I have tons to say. My best friend is also a Sag. We know what the other is thinking with just a look and a knowing smile.

Hey Kasey, I am an Aquarian!! I like your description better than the one I found, I was getting a complex……..LOL

better late than never to jump into the conversation. I don’t put a lot of stock in horoscopes or palm or card reading. When I had a tarot card reading, the prediction was that I would fall in love that year. I didn’t realize she meant with baseball. I was banking on an individual. All I got for my trouble was the bill for season tickets and a nasty bruise on my leg from a Mike Piazza foul ball - ouch! But I still say with pride Let’s go Mets.

I am a Virgo and currently engaged to a Taurus. I love my sign and am very much like it. I am very (in his words) harsh, mean, insensitive, fussy, overcritical, intelligent, modest and shy but I still love him for he is super loving even though he is possessive.
